Lance Naik Shubham Juyal is an Indian Army soldier and one of India's fastest-rising para-athletes, competing in the Men's F57 seated shot put event. Having begun formal para-athletics training only in June 2023, he quickly established himself on the international stage, improving his personal best to 13.58m and earning recognition as an "Icon Player" by the Paralympics Committee of India.
Juyal has won gold medals at the India Open Para Athletics Championship (2025) and the World Para Athletics Grand Prix (2026), along with silver at the Khelo India Para Games and multiple bronze medals at national and international competitions. He has been selected to represent India at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, where he will compete in the Men's Shot Put F57 event. Looking ahead, Juyal aims to challenge the F57 world record and secure a medal at the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympics.
