Nothing Phone 3a camera specifications revealed: Here are the details
Nothing has confirmed its upcoming Phone 3A will feature a 50MP periscope camera as part of a triple-camera system. The company released comparison photos and a YouTube video today pitting the Phone 3a against Apple's iPhone 16 Pro Max.
The camera array is arranged in a distinctive triangular configuration, and three modules can be seen – a wide, an ultrawide and a periscope telephoto, adjacent to the flash module.
The Phone 3A's main 50MP camera boasts a 64% increase in light gathering at the pixel level and "300% greater full well capacity" compared to its predecessor, the Phone 2A. The company says that smartphone’s camera system includes computational photography features with AI tone-mapping and scene detection for image optimization.

The new periscope telephoto lens offers 3x optical zoom and up to 60x "ultra zoom" capability with a 70mm focal length, says Nothing, comparing it to to the iPhone 16 Pro Max's 5x optical zoom and 25x digital zoom.

All four cameras on the device - including three rear cameras and the front-facing camera - support Ultra HDR, while the main and front cameras can record 4K video with night photography enhancements.

The Phone 3A will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip that Nothing claims is 25% faster than the Phone 2A's MediaTek processor. Rumours are rife that the Phone 3(a) may come in two variants – Phone 3(a) and Phone 3(a) Pro, though Nothing has not officially confirmed this detail.

The company will officially unveil the Phone 3(a) series on March 4.
