ice day

I thought we had another winter death false alarm on our hands when i woke up Friday morning. I looked out the window and there was nothing, turned on the TV and all the schools were closed. Crazy memphis i thought, went to the girls room to get them up then heard the sleet. It came down pretty hard and fast.

We got all bundled up and headed outside for a good three minutes!

The girls had no clue what was going on. They just kept staring at amazement. It was so cute :)

Maddie was worn out by the end of the day!

Jonathans brother Michael wanted to come play with the girls so he picked up their mom and they came over and kept the girls so we could go to dinner. We figured no one would be out, we even called Houstons to see if they were even open. When we got there it was packed! we waited for like 45 mintues. I guess everyone had cabin fever by this point.
Today, I headed to the hospital to meet my friend Audras little boy and he is precious! Sebastian was born Friday morning and is doing great. His mom is so strong, she was in labor for 32 hours!
Then we skated our way to Outback for Jonathans dads birthday.

Hope everyone is enjoying the wonderful ice/snow on the ground. It's actually really pretty right now. The moon is full and it is making the trees look like they have crystals on them!

Two days like this already this year...stupid global warming.

We're still here...

I have been terrible this year with taking pictures and blogging!! I hope to get better.

We have been busy around here! My little ones are quite active now and so i am going going!

The weekend after New Years, we had our friend Addies first birthday and Hayleys baby shower for Garland.

The next week Jonathan was in dallas so we stayed at my parents and headed to the eye doctor. Since the girls were on oxygen in the NICU, it can effect their vision so they suggest getting their eyes checked. I haven't been in 10 years either so we all three went. They did great. Evie let her do everything and Ramsey pitched a fit when she got close to her face! ha They both checked out great thank goodness, hopefully they will have my perfect vision :)

The next week we spent Monday at the doc with Ramsey then Wednesday at the doc with Evie. They both had ear infections. No fun! This is Ramseys third so the doctor started talking about tubes..poor girl

Last Friday, i hosted a just ducky clothing show at my house. We had a great time, thanks for everyone who came!

a week in review...

We had a great week recovering from Christmas. Jonathan wen to some memphis bball games. I went to baby-less lunches with friends. We took advantage of some sales, slept in. Enjoyed Jonathan being home for over 2 weeks! We had game night with friends on Wednesday and New Years Eve day we headed to the UT/Memphis game.

We went neutral. I know terrible but we were in jonathans brothers seats so we didn't feel like getting into fight, which did happen two years ago...so we cheered for them quietly but loudly in our hearts

That night we had a fun New Years party with a bunch of friends and some little ones. Our office turned into a day care center and Charlie(the cute shirtless one) had the night of his life! He is shirtless because Ramsey threw up on him..lightweight!

It was hard to get back to reality this morning. The girls were 9 months on Christmas day so we braved the cold this morning and headed to their checkup. Jonathan usually goes but his first day back was busy so mom went with me, i will always need help i think!

No shots this time so that was good. Just more of a question and small talk visit. They look good and are chunky monkeys!

Ramsey is all over the place, Evie is working on it, going to therapy to help her get moving!

They are quite the talkers they must take after their daddy :)

Ramsey is a bully...seriously, she grabs Evies ears, steals her bottle and any toy Evie has she wants it...

Evie has started this new "spitting" thing when she eats and she thinks its histarical...i dont find it funny ( it is a little cute though) She also LOVES Maddie, she talks to her and tries to grab her everytime she comes by. I think i have talked about this before but the love is getting much stronger :)

I just love seeing them do more and more. They have such fun yet such different personalities. Evie is my sweet sensitive cuddle bug and Ramsey is my flirty drama queen.

A year ago while sitting in my chair( everytime i sit here i think about being on bedrest) scared to death wondering will they get here safe and healthy, what will they look like, what will their personalities be and here they are beautiful, healthy and full of personaility! Gods plan is perfect and i am forever grateful for his Grace.
