We’re a Filipino–American couple who believe the best memories are made just outside our comfort zone.
Our story spans two cultures, long-distance beginnings, and a leap of faith that brought us together across oceans. From the Philippines to the U.S., we’ve learned that love, growth, and belonging don’t come from playing it safe—they come from trying, failing, adjusting, and trying again.
Like many couples, we both work full time. Between busy schedules and everyday responsibilities, we’ve learned to be intentional about finding time to travel, explore, and create memories—whether that’s a weekend camping trip, a sunrise hike, or a simple meal cooked together at home.
Travel, food, and the outdoors became our common language. Whether we’re hiking a new trail, cooking meals that remind us of home, or figuring things out as we go, every experience becomes a chance to learn more about the world—and each other.
The Luttie Board started as a simple way to document our adventures. Over time, it became a space to share honest stories: the exciting moments, the awkward ones, and everything in between. We don’t just want to show the highlights—we want to show what it really looks like to build a life together while balancing work, responsibilities, and a desire to keep exploring.
Our hope is to inspire others—especially couples, immigrants, and anyone feeling stuck—to take the trip, try the hike, cook the unfamiliar dish, or start the thing they’ve been putting off. You don’t need a perfect plan or a perfect life to begin. You just need curiosity and the courage to show up.
This isn’t about perfection.
It’s about presence.
It’s about choosing adventure, connection, and growth—one shared moment at a time.
