About the Gallery
The Mezzanine Gallery presents solo exhibitions of work by Delaware artists in disciplines including painting, photography, sculpture, crafts, folk, and media arts.
This opportunity is available to Delaware’s emerging and established visual artists who have won Individual Artist Fellowships, or have been chosen by the Division’s annual Gallery Panel.

Washington Union Station is one of the country’s first great union railroad terminals. Designed by renowned architect, Daniel Burnham, the station opened on October 27, 1907, and was completed in April 1908, An idea of the work of Psychedelic bright colors had made inside terminal has lights blocks in around on walls and ceilings at the subway platform. Extranjera/o — No soy de aqui y no soy de alla.

Recognizing Hispanic Heritage Month.
This exhibit explores the identity of Hisanpic and Latino people living and existing in a place that is home but not home. “No soy de aqui y no soy de alla. (I’m not from here, I’m not from there.)” is the expression that captures the challenge of identifying with two very different places and cultures. This exhibit honors the sacrifices, the challenges, and the things left behind while chasing the American Dream. It honors those who came before us, our family members who sought a better future for us, and those of us seeking that future today.

The Artist – A Full Document movie
This Thanksgiving Day of this year, A Newest Artist Document movie featuring an artist over the year ago was frustrated that people didn’t take his art seriously. Facing rejection and misunderstanding with his technicolor drawings of public transit vehicles. Years later in 2019 and couniting, Gonzalez has exhibited art at galleries across the state and Philadelphia. The University of Delaware purchased four of his drawings for its permanent collection. And now he has been named a 2019 recipient of an Individual Artist fellowship through the Delaware Divion of the arts. This is an American dream as Professional Artist.
The Full 2 hour documentary movie will be on YouTube on Thursday Novmenber 24, 2022 at 8Pm est.
