Decided to restart the art trade, did a little drawing of Zhou to loosen up.
He is the son of a nobleman, who has spent almost no time outside his family's grand estate in the Great North. He is quite taken with the spirit he found injured in the forest bordering their grounds, though at first his interest is like that of a child who has found a fascinating bug.

Karn is an amphibious creature - with gills and lungs, he can go where he pleases. Where he lives is a series of islands off the coast of a jungled peninsula - all connected by a maze of sand bars and mangrove forests. He occasionally forays up the river to hunt crabs and fish among the mangrove roots.
Despite being at home in the water, Karn HATES heavy rain. While he hangs on the beaches as normal during light rain, he has a hidden, manicured den where he naps during bigger storms.

L: Forgot to share that I started learning Live2D Cubism rigging, and it’s going well so far. By “going well,” I mean I still haven’t abandoned the idea of trying to make a VTuber for myself. I chose Tilazis for his relatively simple design, but boy, why the fuck am I always trying to overdo things and start rigging stuff for toggles or using blend shapes out of nowhere? Yeah, that gave me some experience, but what kind of experience exactly—extensive pain in the ass? Yeah, that’s totally about me.
Aaaanyway, I rigged a face and hair, as well as hair physics. Since I don't have any gifs you just have to believe me.

Came back wrong but the wrongness is that you're no longer as awful as you used to be. You're not mean anymore. You don't lose your temper as quickly, you don't say awful things, lash out, or hurt people on purpose just to prove that you can, not since you came back. It's the same face, the same voice, the same superficial tendencies, but all the rough edges have been smoothed away so thoroughly that it feels like something else is wearing you as a mask. Yet it's impossible to get anyone else to see the problem, because you're less of a problem than you've ever been before.

i dissect insect mouth parts and look at them very hard for a living so my main piece of advice is to do that
ok but fr what i'm drawing here is a human face with Extra Bits i am not drawing bug faces, but to get it to read correctly it is helpful to know a bit about how the various bits are put together, so that when i bs them onto a twink's face, it reads as insect mouth parts even though it's not really. to understand the mouth parts you can look up pics like this
NR is a beetle and beetles have a biting & chewing setup (this is what the word 'beetle' means). what you're seeing is the biting bits and the food manipulation bits. the labrum is the top lip and the labium is the bottom lip/chin. all of these are sandwiched up together and move independently. if you just squish the shapes around enough you can do whatever u like with it. movie magic

i think more robots should be disabled actually. robots whose bodies keep falling apart and need much more consistent repairs. robots whose bodily upkeep is hard and laborious and exhausting. robots who physically cant do things without help from another individual. robots who are imperfect and dont fit the bill of a flawless machine. i want more of this waiter please bring me more disabled robots
