I've only read two books these two weeks. I've been sick with a cold, and my eyes hurt too much to read.
What I’ve Been Reading:
Lee French: Al-kabar: a novel of Ilauris
I'm still not sure what to think of this novel. On the one hand I mostly read it in one swoop. On the other hand...
I liked the main character, her strengths and her flaws. She felt balanced. I like the world-building. And still...
Lucy Maud Montgomery: The Story Girl
This one I loved. I liked the tone of the story, the narrator looking back on his youth and the summer he spent with his cousins. Montgomery is very descriptive and lush of the setting, and I could immerse myself into the story.
The children felt realistic, and I could easily imagine them.
Loved the warm and summery feeling.
What I’m currently reading:
Terry Pratchett: Soul Music
Still. Will I ever finish it? Perhaps I'm sufferung from Pratchett fatigue.
Kaoru Mori: Emma [エマ], Vol. 1.
I've lent it to a friend, but I#ve got it back know. I love Emma, and I love the plot.
What I’m going to read next:
I’m not sure yet. Probably Mumins lange Reise (The Moomins and the Great Flood) [Småtrollen och den stora översvämningen].

Date: 2016-03-25 17:08 (UTC)I've only read Anne and Emily when I was a child, so there's little nostalgia for me here. Still I loved the book.
