One-to-Three Photo Processing Challenge-July 2025 I'm not sure this was the best choice for this, but I wanted to try something that had a bit more "busyness" than the others I've used. I love the original and the sun flare is pretty cool Original -- the one I processed and published Sketch Comic from Topaz … Continue reading ONE-TO-THREE PROCESSING CHALLENGE

ONE-TO-THREE APRIL PHOTOS
ONE-TO-THREE PHOTO PROCESSING CHALLENGE - APRIL 2024 I sure had a lot of choices this time. I've taken so many pictures of orchids, Easter lilies and non-Christmas cactus, many of which were easy to redecorate -- so I picked a favorite. The original, though it has its own processing most notably contrast and sharpening Now, … Continue reading ONE-TO-THREE APRIL PHOTOS

DINGY – NOT ALWAYS WHAT YOU EXPECT – Marilyn Armstrong
FOWC with Fandango — Dingy I thought I knew this word. It could be a little boat, often a little boat that lives on a bigger boat and is used to back and forth from the shoreline. It can also mean a little bit drab, or perhaps not entirely clean. It also can mean a sort … Continue reading DINGY – NOT ALWAYS WHAT YOU EXPECT – Marilyn Armstrong
COMPOSE YOURSELF 24 – BLACK & WHITE POST EDITING

I don't use Lightroom at all. I use a variety of filters by NIK and Topaz with Photoshop as the supporting application. How I transform photographs from color to black … Continue reading COMPOSE YOURSELF 24 – BLACK & WHITE POST EDITING
SOME LIKE IT COLD: UNCOOKED FLOWERS
I always seem to be going in the wrong direction, or at least, opposite traffic. While most photographers seem to be going "hotter" -- more saturation and stronger colors -- I'm trying for soft pastels. I am forever turning down the heat. Lowering saturation and brightness. I kind of like it cool rather than hot.
