FOTD – March 18 – Winter trees by the Blackstone I finally processed most of the pictures I liked well enough to post. And just to make life even more perfect, my computer went bonkers yesterday. I had to do some major cleaning up of both hard drives, and also backed up everything that wasn't … Continue reading THE TREES BY THE RIVER

SKETCHBOOK 40 – EARLY FALL FOLIAGE
As the foliage begins to change from the dark green of late summer to the colors of autumn, you get trees with a mix of green and bright leaves.
ON A GOLDEN AFTERNOON – IN JANUARY?
I looked out the window, and the light was golden against the trees. It's not the color you usually see in the middle of winter. I associate that color with autumn and sometimes summer. The … Continue reading JAPANESE MAPLE

In years past, we used to scoop up the fallen leaves and stuff them in orange plastic pumpkin face leaf bags. We could usually … Continue reading THE AUTUMN LEAVES

Based on the age of the house and the height of the trees, we would estimate each one to be over 100 years old. They appear to be twice as tall as this two-story building. They drop a … Continue reading THE AUTUMN LEAVES DILEMMA
