BRATISLAVA, March 31. /TASS/. Slovakia expects a significant increase in gas supplies from Gazprom via the TurkStream pipeline from April, Reuters reported citing SPP, the Slovak company operating the national gas transportation system.
"Russia's Gazprom will substantially increase gas supplies to Slovakia through the TurkStream pipeline from April, the CEO of Slovak importer SPP Vojtech Ferencz told reporters on Monday," the agency wrote.
Earlier Ferencz said that Gazprom began gas supplies to SPP via the TurkStream pipeline on February 1. According to him, supplies will double from April. The contract with Gazprom Export is valid until 2034.
SPP previously received gas via Ukraine, which stopped transit at the beginning of 2025.
