Winter Silhouettes - Purple Onion Designs Holiday Sale 2023

Happy Sunday Friends!

I'm back today with another card made with beautiful stamps from 

Purple Onion Designs.

Today's card is vastly different to anything I usually make - in fact it is so different it spent half a day in the bin before I fished it out and decided perhaps it was okay after all! (:

I used one of the gorgeous stamps from Julian Charlton's Winter Silhouettes set.

See!  I told you it was different! 

It has some sparkle added which sadly the camera does n't capture.

As a bonus this card was quick to make and the style suits any of the beautiful images in the Winter Silhouette collection.

Jingle all the way!... (yes - in February)!

Morning friends...

well - today is a bit of a thing!

Tanglemouse is 5 years old today!

I feel a bit emotional about it because starting this blog and really committing to my colouring and card making has been a complete life changer!

Thank you everyone (and the special ones - you know who you are)! for the enduring love, support and friendship!

Here is a card I have been wanted to make since before last Christmas!

I had so many cards in my head to make and inevitably I did n't manage to do them all! /-;

Today I am showing you a card I made with some stamps from

6x6 Clear Mounting Stamp

This was such a fun card to make!

As soon as I saw the little banner I knew I wanted to show it being towed along by Santa in his sleigh!

I created a rectangle of smooth card (Strathmore Bristol Vellum) 14cm x 22cm.

I then made a circle mask which I fixed over the top right hand corner of the card.

I blended Distress Oxides in Broken China, Chipped sapphire and Black Soot over the card to create a night sky.  Then I flicked water, Perfect Pearls and a white water based Sharpie over the background and let it dry.

I then used the negative mask - the part with the circle removed.  I fixed it onto the card leaving the moon exposed and blended Distress oxide in Weathered Wood over it.  Again I sprinkled the design with water and Perfect Pearls and let it dry.

I removed the mask and then stamped and heat embossed in black the beautiful Christmas stamps!

I stamped and heat embossed in white the jingle all the way sentiment from the 

Stacey Yacula Studio - Sweetest Season Sentiment Set

which I trimmed and fixed to the top left hand side of the card design as shown.

I used the brilliant 

6x6 Clear Mounting Stamp

to perfectly place and stamp the images!

Finally I layered the design onto a rectangle of black sparkle card.

Snow much fun!...

Hello everyone!

I'm on a roll at the moment, I have so many cards to show you and I'm adding to my Christmas card stash at the same time!

Today's card is made with some gorgeous stamps from 

Purple Onion Designs

They are part of a set of Silhouette Stamps designed by Julian Charlton

I LOVE them!

I have a real soft spot for silhouettes!

The stamps I have used here are

Purple Onion Designs Warming Winter Thoughts Sentiment Set

I used Zig Clean Colour Brush Pens with a Sparkle Pen to create the background on watercolour card.  

The hills are made from torn card and torn vellum

The images are stamped onto watercolour card with a selection of Catherine Pooler Inks.  I purposely chose this watercolour card as I wanted the texture to show through the stamped images.  I cut the images out once they were dry.

I used a wavy stencil and a blue ink pad to create the marks in the snow along with some Star Dust Stickles.

I put the scene together as shown, Marshmallow Bunny is supposed to be wonky!  He/she isn't very good at sledging! (;

Finally I added a sentiment from the 

Purple Onion Designs Warming Winter Thoughts Sentiment Set

and placed the design on a piece of blue glitter card!
