When settled back in the UK I became a mature student and gained Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in English and Literature before training and working as a teacher.
I started writing in the last ten years in the peace and quiet of rural Lincolnshire, and published my debut novel, Fairytales Don’t Come True, in May 2020. This book forms the first of a series, Criminal Conversation, of which the second is Degenerate, Regenerate and All That We Are Heir To the third. Innocent, Guilty, the first of another trilogy, continues the story and leads on to The Future of Our House, which is followed by Uphill, Downhill, Over, Out as the sixth and final book to end the series. A box set of the series is available in eBook format. In early 2025 I published another work of contemporary literature, entitled An Honourable Institution.
I also developed a taste for psychological suspense, which led to the writing and publication of You Know What You Did, to which What Else Did You Do? is the sequel. In September 2025 I returned to the genre and published The Guilty Party.
I’ve also published four small books of poems, October Poems, Thanksgiving Poems and Prose Pieces, Poet-Pourri and Social Climbing and Other Poems.
In late 2023 I launched my own website, Books That Make You Think , from which I run my personal blog including my own books, reviews of the books of others and a blog containing my thoughts on life, the universe and everything.
When not writing – and at present I’m 55,000 words into a new work, a whodunnit, a new genre for me – I like to go for walks (weather permitting), listen to music from opera and classical to hard rock, watch films and go out for lunch. Life’s been good to me, and now I’ve been asked to be a part of Story Empire!
