Is a musing on this idea of true love. It’s an ode to love really – a summoning of love. To find a like minded soul who gets you truly who will stand with you and also stand up for you and to you. It’s recognising that one doesn’t have to be suited and booted / ‘fit a certain mold’..just come as you truly are and the right things and person find you.
Clickbait:
All about the rise of digital information and how revenue can be very much determined now by cost per click and thus headlines needing to become more and more ‘sensationalist’ in nature to entice people to click and open links. It was written during lockdown – again as a stream of consciousness – and on reflection now, it is slightly tongue in cheek. Written in a time when I had a greater propensity for paranoia! I choose now to be led by fact not sensation. It’s amazing how much information people gravitate towards because it fits their existing bias and how they can discern truth without accessing ALL the facts. Opinions are not fact. Social media has a lot to answer for!
Transcended:
This is based on a poem I wrote a few years ago and it’s about how someone can be intelligent and have a lot going for them but how they’ll likely never meet their potential until they ‘get over themselves’; the realisation you can’t hang around for that to happen. That relations are a two way dynamic.
Stinking Rita debut album – Live From Studio Five was recorded in Pirate Rehearsal Studio, Nottingham in 2 sessions during (and when we were allowed to mingle safely) the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic. The tracks are completely improvised and were recorded on a hand-held recording device hanging from the ceiling of Studio 5. We live streamed via Facebook the 2nd session and only named the tracks afterwards. Released 21.1.21 Available on our Bandcamp.
