Hi guys. We haven't posted in a long time, sorry. (this happens like every time we try to post)

Haven't felt like we're alive lately. School has been exhausting. Family has been exhausting. Country has been a shitstorm. But we manage.

We've been trying to get our (nice albeit neglectful) mom to get our blood work done; doctor thinks we have a hormonal issue, which would explain a lot.
Scholastic opened a couple of days ago! We're going to submit a lot, hopefully. A comic submission, a script for the pilot of our novel (tv adaptation, obviously), a sci-fi submission (maybe two!), and the biggest of all.. An actual chapter from our novel. It's going alright so far. I'm hopeful. Hoping to get a gold key, maybe even a couple!

Sorry we haven't been active. Busy end of the school year and everything.

We're in summer school now. Depression kind of kicked our ass in the second semester, and we failed a couple classes. No worries though. Our summer school program is really just sitting and staring at a computer and "watching" videos with an occasional quiz. It's tedious, sure, but it's easy work. Only part that sucks is having 12 days of our summer taken away. We'd rather have that than repeat a grade or something though.
I had one of those "baby dreams" last night. 0/10. Woke up in despair.
Only other new thing: we've been really into making pickles lately, and I don't know why. Tried our first batch yesterday; Very vinegar-heavy, and a little too sweet for my liking, but overall a success. Played around with different ratios for our second batch, and used a little bit of a pre-existing brine. Hopefully they'll turn out even better.

Hi DW!!! here with (not many) updates. Just so we have fuel to keep posting.

Partner system didn't come to school today; they're driving like 5 hours to stay with some family for the weekend. This morning was a little sad because of that; we have a hangout spot before 1st period where we hang out with our partner system, our friend (titled A), and our friend (R) + his boyfriend. R lives in our neighborhood; wasn't on the bus. Didn't come to the spot later, like he usually does when he misses the bus. Hopefully he's okay. A also didnt come; he threw up a little bit before his bus comes, so he just didn't go. That's okay though!

In first period, we didn't have a sub or anything, so an AP came in to separate the class out in the hall and send us in groups to other classrooms. Our headphones had noise cancelling on.. and apparently, they work well, because we completely missed it. A little embarrassing, but it's okay.
Today was a headmate's birthday: Leon! Hoorayyy! Usually, we connect fictives' with their source birthdays (if they agree to do so). However, Leon doesn't really have a source birthday? He's got a year, just no exact date. So our friend, A, who we consider Leon's kid (not legally of course, nor biological, that's just their relationship.), helped him decide on a birthday. And today happened to be that day!!!!! So, cool!!!! Birthday!!!

We have GSA and DnD today. I'm honestly a little disappointed though; GSA lasts about an hour and then our group goes straight DnD, but that cuts our DnD time in half. It's alright though- I'm just excited for the game. Although, our partner system won't be there to play, and our characters have a really fun dynamic. But again, that's okay.

We're thinking about opening our art commissions. We aren't sure what our work is worth, though. This was our thoughts so far:

Small doodle (more detailed, not one of my 30 sec. doodles): $2? $3?

Sketch:
Headshot: $5?
Half: $7?
Full body: $10??

Lineart:
Headshot: $8?
Half: $11?
Full body: $15?

Lineart w/ color:
Headshot: $12?
Half: $16?
Full body: $20?

We went to the mall with our partner system yesterday. They were home alone all weekend in a big, window-y house with 8 animals, so they were (understandably) falling into madness.Hot topic was doing inventory, so the entire store was buy one, get one 30% off. Not a bad deal! But hot topic is expensive. Because of coupons we got a shirt and a blindbag for a little less money than it would've been without the coupon. The shirt is cute. It's got little jesters on it and text that reads, "I should've been born a court jester". Sums us up pretty well. Also, the cashier was super cool, and they complimented my TMBG shirt!
We went to the Popmart that just opened, but they didn't take cash, which was all I had. So I didn't get anything. By then we were both starving, so we decided to go to Cheesecake Factory. I've never been there, so we went into Barnes & Noble while I looked up the menu online. I found a limited edition Trigun Funko pop! Almost completed the collection! We have Vash, Wolfwood, Legato, and now, Meryl.
Went to Cheesecake Factory. It was nice; especially because we could go out together without the parents. It was raining while we waited to get picked up, so we went back into B&N just to walk around and escape the rain. Ended up finding some really pretty (but really expensive) journals, but our partner system was very sweet and got us one. It's purple with gold details on it, and we've decided to use it as a Book of Shadows.
Speaking of which, we've been getting back into our practice a bit, particularly with Aphrodite, and a bit with Hermes. We really needed Aphrodite right about now. And last night we had this realization; how can we be a devotee to Aphrodite, and not try to love ourselves, our body, and our collective? We've let ourselves get so negative and self-conscious. But we're fantastic! Why don't we realize that more often?!

That's all for now. We'll try to post more often.

Howdy y’all. sorry for not posting. not much time nor energy these days.
However, we wrote a poem after the inauguration.

i found it kind of funny
staring at that orange man
as he rambled on the tv screen
about concepts of a plan

months later the news broke out
that he’d won the countries vote
and the first thing that i thought was,
“i need to buy a boat.”

i need to buy a boat, i thought
i must escape this place
theres only so many months before doomsday,
and im limping through time’s race

come Christmas, there were rumors
of “La Migra” in your town
boot-licking sons of bitches
that would send my friends straight down

Straight down into the cages
Down at the border’s edge
And for a moment I considered
Leaping off the roof’s edge

By January, panic
They’d removed our favorite app
But only for about a night,
and the next morning, I found a gap

A gap between the cracks
within the algorithm’s remains
And peering through those cracks I found
The orange man’s face

Each video he didn’t like,
he’d push through out of my screen
until instead of punks and witches
only his face could be seen

Next morning, inauguration
Where I find myself today
His husband did the forbidden salute
And all I could do was pray

Pray to wake up from this dream,
this hazy nightmare I was trapped in
Perhaps, come snowy morning,
I’ll be on my sailboat, strapped in.

Silly me, forgot why we don't really trust mental health workers, and confessed a lot of stuff to our schools mental health specialist.
Only helpful things that came out of it were:
-Paperwork
-New anxiety calming technique?

The paperwork is a therapy thing. Apparently the school offers 5-6 sessions of free therapy for students, which you have to be eligible for, but still. She did this mostly in an attempt to make us get diagnosed with things.

However, she wasn't very pleasant talking about these things, especially OSDD. She also called our self-diagnosis of autism "inappropriate". After we explained why we've done that.
-autism in the family
-years of research
-we have a LOTTTTT of the symptoms and they SHOW
-we've done the RAADS-R(?) test like 3 times and every time its been just 20-30 points away from the highest possible scoring. I know the RAADS-R test isn't the most insanely credible diagnosis type thing, but we feel that its a good step in getting the whole "okay I do/don't need to care about this" sense around autism, y'know?

We explained/debunked a lot of the common misconceptions around OSDD/DID and she still persisted with them. She also asked what we've gotten our information and research from, which is fine, but when we tried explaining that they're from credible sources and NOT Google, she told me all about how "there's a difference between research from Google and research from real scientific texts".

Oh well. Sorry for the rant, its midterms time and Im just having a not so fun day I guess.

Sooo. We watched Kaz Rowe's Youtube video about the modern vampire community, and we feel like we align with it. (at least some of us?) Does this count as some kind of alterhumanity/some kind of Otherkin identity? We aren't the most well-versed on this stuff.
If anyone sees this please leave a comment or something!! I just want to meet like-minded people I think.

Hello Dreamwidth :)

We've been drawing (with genuine effort and passion) since we were like 4. We have not stopped drawing since. But our art style has been, at least somewhat, inconsistent (at least since maybe 7-9 years old, which is presumably when our system formed.) We now realize that this is because we're a system. But we're all in denial that we don't collectively have the same skill level and art style. I don't know why; I think it's just because we're used to being the "art prodigy" kid in our family. Seriously, that's all our distant relatives really know about us: we draw. Do you know how many of those $15 art kits we've gotten for Christmas??
But I Digress. Anyway, it's just something we have to (begrudgingly) come to terms with. Some of us can draw pretty cohesive anatomically-accurate people, while others just stick to shape-centric things. However, all of our artstyles are branches off the same tree, so to speak. We all draw things in relatively SIMILAR styles, because we've consumed a lot of the same tutuorials/references/etc.
Just a thought, thats all. OuO

Hi dreamwidth. maybe i'll make a new person post soon. idk.

We're back from Thanksgiving break! it went alright. we had a friend come over yesterday and together we cleaned, like, half of our room. It was much MESSIER than it was dirty. Also, our bed is all neat and situated and everything now! No more sleeping in the corner of the messy bed with cans all around us.

Our mom also agreed to get us a pet fish if we can maintain our clean room, so that's the goal. Maintain the room.

Hey Dreamwidth. Sorry we havent been active.

Anyway, updates and stuff. uhhhh

We attend our schools GSA (gender-sexuality-alliance club), and after the last meeting, somebody from it invited us to a DND club meeting! We've been wanting to play DND for YEARS. Our character is a Tabaxi bard, I think they're pretty cool. Anyway, we also listened to They Might Be Playing They Might Be Giants for that entire day. It's a 6AM-6PM event on KMSU radio where they play nothing but They Might Be Giants the entire time. It was great! But one of the last songs they played was our request (Kiss Me, Son of God) and we weren't listening when they played it. Bummer. But its okay, there's always next year, right?

We also finished act 2 of Arcane season 2. Obviously I wont spoil anything but it DESTROYED us. It's kinda bittersweet that Arcane is ending soon, we've been a fan since season 1 first released.

That's all I think. bye bye

-Dave

Hey DW. what's up/. Guten morgen. Or guten tag. Depends on when you're reading this

So uh. What's new with us

We went out on Halloween with our partner system and our cousin. Everyone loved our costumes, but man, it was bleak out there. Like we didn't even see that many people, and most houses didn't have candy. Wtf.

We had a test on tuesday. I forgot which one but I mean like... a big test. Not like "ok its a geometry test" no. like "ok show up and go to this room and sit there for three hours for the test"

it was fine though.

Well, we got back last Friday. Sorry we didn't post! We were really caught up in vacation. It was very fun! Glad to be back home with our animals now, though. :-)

We’re on our way to Louisiana! We’ll be there until Sunday, then we’re packing up again and heading into Florida! (NOT AN AREA AFFECTED BY THE HURRICANES)
We’ll be visiting family on our way. That’s exciting!
We haven’t been out of state since we were 4, so this is pretty exciting. That time, we went to Arkansas, and all we remember is accidentally getting a fishing hook stuck in our cousins back. Oops.

We’ll probably post more along the journey! Bye bye for now, Dreamwith!

First of all, we apologize for our absence lately. It's been busy since school started back up.

Anyway, factives. I wouldn't say we have anything to add to the discussion of Factives, it's simply a topic that has been on our mind lately. We have three factives:

-Lord Byron [He goes by Byron.]
-"Joan of Arc" Jehanne/Jeanne D'Arc [She goes by Jehanne. Finds "Joan" insulting.]
-John Linnell [Our most recent one.]

It's sort of embarrassing having factives- or, rather, it feels embarrassing to tell people they exist. It's something we find ourselves avoiding, on the rare occasion that it's relevant at all.

That's all I wanted to share.
