Paper Sweetie May Challenge #43

I was the lucky winner of the March Paper Sweeties Challenge. I received a fun prize package AND the opportunity to Guest Design for the May Challenge. My card features the adorable Make Today Beautiful    Most of the image was paper pieced and colored with Copic markers.  A machine stitched border and enamel dots finish the card. Designer papers are from Core'dinations and Memory Box. I {heart} Sketches with a tWist #149

Each week From the Heart Stamps hosts a fun sketch challenge  with an optional twist. You can use the sketch provided  and/or the twist. Recently while browsing the  FTHS shop I came across the perfect set for Mother's Day. Mom is Wow (Faithful Friends) Although I really like this week's sketch, I went with the optional twist and used  several dies on my card. The Classic Rectangle and Classic  Scallop Rectangle die are from Spellbinders. The speech bubble die is from MFT - Say What. The image was colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils.  A machine stitched border and ribbon finish the card. Catch the Bug - Friday Freebie

Welcome to Friday Freebie at Catch the Bug! Each week Jodie, owner and creator of Bugaboo Stamps, generously posts a free image in the shop. This week's digital freebie is 4 Square Floral The image was printed onto Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake card stock and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  I layered the image onto SU Concord Blush and Pear Pizzazz card stock.  Darice lime sequins and a machine stitched border finish the card. Catch the Bug - New Release Tuesday

Jodie has a simple, yet adorable, little digital image this week to share with us called Little Bear. I knew right away that he would be paper pieced. I created a little scene with various dies and an older sentiment from Stampin' Up!  A few dew drops in the clouds finish the card. MFT Card Challenge Sketch #477

I create because I enjoy the process, the finished  project AND giving others ... maybe, just maybe a little smile. It's never perfect, but I still enjoy it. Tonight I created a card for the current sketch challenge at My Favorite Things. Catch the Bug - Stella Says Sketch #408

Welcome to a new challenge with Stella Says Sketch! This week is a fun sketch with lots of layers. My card features the adorable Bugaboo image Bird Umbrella  The digital image was printed onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White card stock and colored with Copic markers. Stampin' Up! designer papers in Calypso Coral and Island Indigo were used for the layering and paper pieced umbrella. Of course, I added a sun die from My Favorite Things.  The cloud die is from Memory box and lots of machine stitching finish the card.  I found a wonderful website that  helped me with the color combination for this card:  My Create Ink . This week From the Heart Stamps has a fun sketch I {heart} Sketches with a tWist #148   The twist is to include washi tape. My card features the adorable FTHS Birdbrain Winter Scarf The digital image was printed onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White card stock and colored with  Copic Markers.  Two different washi tapes were added and enamel dots  finish the card. Catch the Bug - Saturday Theme Color Challenge

Welcome to a new weekly theme challenge at Catch the Bug! For this week's color challenge my card features the lovely Tulip Thank You Block The "thank you" sentiment has been removed and replaced with a Mother's Day sentiment. I colored the image with Copic Markers and lightly sponged the background with Memento ink. Each Friday at Catch the Bug  features a fun free image! This week's Freebie is Cupcake Tray The digital image was printed onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White Card stock and colored with Copic markers. A fun sentiment from Create with TLC frames the image.  I applied various Stickles to the image and kept the design clean and simple. Two Paper Divas - April Photo Inspiration Challenge

Through the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop I became aware of a new-to-me stamp company Two Paper Divas I was the lucky winner of the March challenge and I'm using one of their digital stamps on my project today. Teacups The digital set comes with a fun sentiment. However, I chose to include a Mother's Day stamped sentiment from my stash. The cups were printed onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White card stock and colored with Copic Markers. Of course, the base panel has been dry embossed with a polka dot cuttlebug folder. Bakers twine and enamel dots finish  the card.  This is the yummy inspiration photo for the TPD April Card Challenge . Catch the Bug - Humor Me Wednesday

Each week the Bugaboo Design Team is asked to select a Daily Holiday, Special and Wacky Day and use this as our HMW inspiration. I chose April 23 - Lover's Day and since I'm a HUGE Coffee Lover I created the following altered project featuring Stella Peeker - Magical Substance     I created a fun refrigerator magnet by altering a chipboard coaster.  Stella was printed onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White card stock and colored with Copic Markers then fussy cut. I {heart} Sketches with a tWist #147 AND Stamp of the Month

Where has the week gone? I'm sneaking in a VERY last minute  card for this week's From the Heart Sketch Challenge .  I used the new Stamp of the Month set for  April at From the Heart Stamps The set is Time to Bloom You can get the set FREE and join in the monthly progressive challenge HERE.  The twist this week is patterned paper. Paper Smooches April challenge- BLACK/WHITE & POP of COLOR

I couldn't resist joining the fun this month over at Paper Smooches. My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #276

This week's sketch challenge hosted by My Favorite Things has lots of possibilities. My card features the adorable new Warm & Fuzzy Friends set The image (hedgehog or porcupine?) was stamped on water color paper and colored with Tombow markers. The card base is Primitive White CS from MFT and the dp is from the  paper pad included with the Warm & Fuzzy  stamp kit - Trail Mix. Catch the Bug: April BINGO Challenge

Welcome to a new challenge at Catch the Bug! This week is a fun  BINGO Challenge. My card features the always popular JJ with Block Sentiments - Cinderella   When I came across this fun sentiment in the Bugaboo shop I just knew  it had to be printed, colored and used! The image/sentiment was printed  onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White card stock and colored with Copic Markers. Gold Stickles were added to the sentiment and wood veneer stars. A Cuttlebug embossing folder was  used for the second layer and polka dot papers were layered from Co'ordinations. Viva La Verve Sketch - April

While cruising through blogland one day I came across an entry for the Viva la Verve Sketch Challenge. I {Love} sketch challenges So..... Here's my entry for the April Viva la Verve Sketch featuring Verve Stamps Scripture Medley I The sentiment was embossed with CTMH black powder. The base panel was created with the  shaving cream technique.  A really fun technique with unique results each time! I also pulled various floral embellishments from my stash as accents.  Thanks for stopping by! My card is a very clean and simple  version of this week's sketch featuring the adorable Spring Bird - bird on a limb    The digital image was printed onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White card stock and colored with Copic markers. I created the cloudy background by sponging Memento summer sky ink over a template cut from a Memory Box puffy cloud die. Bugaboo Saturday Challenge - Recycle, Upscale or use a Household item

Thanks for stopping by today! We have a new challenge for you at Catch the Bug. Recycle, Upscale or Use a Household item. My card features the adorable digital Bobblehead Greetings- Beary Birthday  The digital image was printed onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White card stock and colored with Copic Markers. The sentiment is from Verve Wishing You set . I used a household item for the base panel of my project with the shaving cream technique. There are many great tutorials on the web if you are interested in the technique. I have included a few photos of the process below. You will want to gather the follow items: Paper plate, plastic knife, reinkers, shaving cream   paper towels and white card stock. (mine has been cut to 4.25 x 5.5) Start with a large portion of shaving cream on the paper plate.  You will then randomly  drop reinker on the shaving cream.  Use the plastic knife to crisscross the ink into the...
