The new APK needs some work. The buttons on the text window (like MENU), have the tiniest hitbox ever and basically are unpressable
And it also doesn't seem to have the android controls enabled that let you do things like swip up to hide ui or swipe down to open menu. So can't even use those as a work around for the UI being broken
Im so confused about so much content in this.
TLDR: what content is actually in the game? Because it seems like its supposed to be a lot- but there doesn't seem to be any good information on how to access it, how to start the content related to different characters, and when you have met the flags needed to allow the new dialogue to randomly appear amongst the constantly repeated dialogue options.
1. What determines winning fights? Because I'm trying to see the bad ending of haven, but I cant for the life of me lose the fights at the end no matter what combo of perks I add/remove and stats i lower.
I was blackout drunk, blindfolded, gagged, 0 intelligence 0 fitness, 0 confidence, broken, meek, despondent... ETC... and I still won every single fight. In that end sequence.
There really needs to be a "win fights" and "lose fights" perk options to add, so you can force the outcome you want to see.
2. Flat mates. It appears this dropped as a big update. But I cant find any of these supposed new flatmates. But cass even talks about them. But they don't appear to exist. And when I try to find info on this, I find people (3 years ago) saying the content hasn't been implemented yet. But considering a supposedly big update dropped called "flatmates", I assume this 3 year old information is wrong. But even use the cheats to get info on them- it only mentions where to find the guy, but he's never in the library so Idk.
3. The casino. Does it exist? A lot of content that doesnt exist yet gives me a message saying so. This did not. No idea where it is if its exists
4. Apparently Simon gave me another home option? Was a kludge message about how the dialogue/quest wasn't done but the reward was being given. But there is no indication of where this house is.
5. Is there some way to reliably trigger content or is it really just a matter of mindlessly spamming through the chat button hoping to luck into what seems like a 0.1% chance of them actually triggering new dialogue? Because supposedly there is content for a lot of the girls and I would have literally never found this out if I didn't see info about it in the update logs.
Surely I'm doing something wrong? Because someone would have to be insane to think that if they spam the chat button 100 times, they might finally get non repeated dialogue appearing. Without being told by outside sources, basically 90% of the content of this game would be hidden as any reasonable person would assume that, after seeing the same repeated dialogue 50 times, that these characters don't get unique dialogue.
6. Exhibitionism. Pretty much the same as above. It tells me to practice at night in the park. There is no real indication that anything is changing when I'm doing it in the park. I have spent about 30 nights wandering between park locations hoping to unlock whatever content is being teased with that, and nothing is changing.
7. Gag, blindfold, bindings. Are these implemented? I can buy the bindings but they don't seem to be usable. And I have no idea how to obtain the other 2, but there are perks for them.
8. Anita. Is she implemented? Is her content gated behind a 0.01% to trigger dialogue? Is it gated behind other quests? Is it gated behind perks?
9. Evening wine. Is there any rhyme or reason to when this can be triggered? If I fly through other content, does this content get lost - or do I end up playing catchup where we will talk about things thst happened awhile ago?
10. Can I not buy extras of clothing despite people being able to steal it? This is EXTREMELY annoying as a game mechanic if you are going to also gate the clothing behind RNG. There needs to be a perk like "LostAndFound" that always returns stolen clothing after the event ends.

Basically the vast majority of content for this game feels like its locked behind hidden flags which is made so much worse as you cant tell when you've met these flags, as you have to spam the interact option until it randomly displays new dialgue. So you don't know if you are just missing the flags or getting unlucky.
Update after playing a bit more:
It seems to get much worse overtime, and needs me to relaunch every 10 minutes orso - so probably some sort of memory leak like images aren't ever getting removed as new ones draw infront or something. Idk. Its bad right away from start of game so there is obviously more to it than just whatever is leaking. It seems that the outfit planner is the worst for this. Trying out new combos for like 5 minutes makes it basically unplayable and I have to relaunch.
Last time played was probably like 3.2 or something. Didn't have any issues. With this latest version im getting really bad lag though. No matter the context. Using ui, progressing dialogue, opening menu, it keeps freezing up and taking a second register my input.
for context im playing on Android. None of my other games have degraded in performance since then and my hardware hasn't changed. Anyone else getting this?
It wasn't entirely that this one message was exceptionally horrible. Its that they had sent like 10 over the span of a few days. My favorite line was "putting the information here is the least he could do" in a rant about how selfish/inconsiderate vertigo was.
It was basically just toxic entitlement and acting as if developers are personal slaves to people like him. Basically the neck beard equivalent of a Karen.
Tbh I think you should just pause lins updates until the others catch up. I mean, it would be a shame as her events are the best - but id personally much rather wait and have it be easier for you going forward to write with full freedom.
What I mean is that it kind of puts you into a corner where you can't really change your plan at all. Like let's say for instance (hypothetically) while writing more of the twins story - you realize you want to have some big thing where felicity loses an eye or something (and you recognize that this change would vastly improve the story for some reason). You'd have to go back and edit all of lins events from this point forward (including this nexus one) to incorporate that change. Which may make you, even if subconsciously, less willing to make this change to your plan even though you think it would make for the best story. Id rather you delay lin's events than put yourself in that position.
To help in the meantime, Maybe add to the current disclaimer that "events preceeding this are not yet complete, proceeding will be immersion breaking". Atleast until they are all caught up, at which point you can make it so the event can't trigger till those are all completed.
Of course do as you wish. Just trying to help. I have been there before with painting myself into a corner and it really ruined my motivation going forward. Dont want to see the same happen here as this story is fucking fantastic
If it helps, I think the vast majority of people agree this guy is pathetic. The message he sent that really got me irked was when he put "least they could do".
As if producing free content, and not communicating, is somehow WORSE than having just never produced any content in the first place. (Not that this is even the case here, but that just makes their stance even more ridiculous)
If only we could all be paragons of virtue like this guy and spend our time trying to make the world a worse place by targeting those who actually produce something for others, and doing our damnedest to make them want to stop.
You keep being you and sharing content with the world! The rest of us appreciate it! And if you ever feel like slowing down or just stopping all together - you have already done more than most people will ever do and quitting wouldn't change that at all. Although it would be a real shame.

I'd also appreciate them posting the info here, but wording it as "the least they could do" is actually crazy. You ask in another comment why the dev is communicating less? Probably because they got burnt out dealing with people like this.
Do you plan on keeping this philosophy, even with the latest Lin event?
This feels like the perfect time to make a sort of convergence point that seperates all events into a "before" or "after". Such that all new events going forward can be written with the knowledge that this (and all other "before" events) have occured
It just changes too much about the world for a simple reskin of dialogue to make sense. That is to say, this should be impacting the actual direction of all the sub plots- not just be background noise that can be used to change what they say while navigating the sub plots.
Lots of the later events need stricter requirements. I was replaying and kept getting events that referenced others that hadn't happened.
For example: [SPOILER]
- latest felicity/emma before even starting to go find Ren for Ashley
- latest Ashley referencing the meeting with owl clan with lin
Its a good thing I already played through most of them to know what was being referenced - but it still made the new events feel super awkward
Also updated sprites are messed up. For example:
- when entering/leaving lins room, old drugged Jin keeps showing up
- the android keeps reverting to model 1 when you talk to her if she is hanging out in the lobby. It uses the costumes at first to say hi, then switches to the old and says hi again.
- android still uses form 1 in all other locations around the hotel
Also, for the garden, it isnt really clear if jin is harvesting/replanting/etc. I tried waiting a few days after they appeared to be full grown before I went and checked in evening to harvest them and replant.
Been a long while since I last looked at this. I remember this being absolutely amazing but started going a bit too artsy for me around ch 40 or something like that. Any chance its become less... chaotic? Felt like I had to fucking take notes and do indepth analysis just to follow the basic plot. Hoping maybe this got toned down a bit, because I'd love to give it another read through after so long.
The last Chapter is such an absolute disappointment. There is no way to sugar coat it.
Its like if they were painting the Mona Lisa then at the last minute decided to just glue on some googley eyes. And best yet the glue is low quality and one falls off while the other got misplaced on her cheek at the same height as her nose.

I would go into a deep details about where the issues specifically are- but im guessing the devs were just wanting to move on and were finding the non linear structure to be more and more annoying as they tried to hastily force this into an improper conclusion --- so instead im just gonna spew them out just like the events do
Issues:
- inconsistent and nonsensical event ordering. Confront Gary about big-thing he did - he gets hurt- then suddenly he is fine back in the mansion for a different scene. Then im investigating who was responsible for this big thing i already confronted Gary over. And basically every single event in the last part of chapter 3 felt like this.
- going down the dark path, Emily keeps switching between being pregnant and not while she is locked in the campus. Despite selecting the no impreg option
- the good path has the shittiest blue ball ending i could have imagined. Its up there with him waking up from the coma and realizing this was all a dream. I imagine its going to be pretty similar on the dark path but don't know if im going to bother to find out when im already getting thrown by Emily's sporadic pregnancy issue.

I wasnt exactly expecting a master piece. But it deserved a way better ending then the buggy mess I experienced.
Glad to know its not another one where its intentionally designed that way. However, it does not appear to exist for the **mobile** (android) version
im not seeing it. I checked there already (before commenting the first time) and clicked each option. The closest one was a "<" and that just opened the history log.

Re-downloaded the game to check again. I can confirm none of the options that display do a rollback. There's 'collapse', menu, auto, history, skip.
I'll go ahead and remove the review though since this wasn't intentional and I assume you will fix it. I get that mobile probably isn't what you develop on so its an easy mistake to make. Likely a mistake when you made the custom menu.

Its working again now though after full restarting my phone. Not sure if the other steps I took did anything or not to make this work.
Im always reluctant to restart my phone because a good amount of the time it deleted my folders and spreads my apps out everywhere and takes forever to fix.
Decided to just go for it anyway when steam store page stopped working too. Seemed too coincidental to not be an issue on my side.

Last few days when I try to look at the store page it just is a loading bar. If I go into my downloads and try to go directly to their store page, same thing. I cleared cache and data and it didn't fix it. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it didn't fix it.
I recall having a similar issue in the past, and it fixed itself eventually, but it still let me go to the store page if I attempted to do so from my downloads tab
Also updated F-droid, but no change. Fdroid also said there was an update for mitch (even though I just reinstalled from here). Got that update and still no change.

If not clear, this has been working for me for a couple years now. Just a couple days ago this started.
To start- great game. This was the first game like this that I ever tried - and I love how far its come since then. But, after having tried some others now - I have 1 primary issue with it.
might not be a popular opinion but I think this is almost TOO sandboxy/open (lacking requirements for events)
that is, it feels like there needs to be more requirements for events (such as having seen another character's event X). It just feels like the main char rediscovers a lot of the same info and acts each time as if its the first they have heard of it.
Even if it was just an optional setting that added these requirements - it would make the experience so much better IMO.
