Pricing: Annual plan at $49/year replaces the 3-Year plan

New buyers now choose between Free (500 submissions, no card, no time limit), Pro at $5/month for 5,000 submissions a month, and Annual at $49/year (about $4.08/month) for 15,000 submissions a month with every Pro feature. The $1/month Starter plan and the $59 3-Year plan are no longer sold. Existing Starter and 3-Year subscribers keep their plan, price and limits until they cancel.

Feature: Partial leads and drop-off analytics now work with any form

Partial-lead capture and drop-off analytics used to need the builder's iframe embed. They now run from one line — <script src="https://splitforms.com/embed.js" async></script> — placed after any form that posts to splitforms: hand-written HTML, React, WordPress, or the builder. Every install snippet in the dashboard, and forms created through the MCP server, already include it. No cookies and no localStorage.

Improvement: Reorganized settings and a new Account page

Form settings now open as focused tabs — General, Notifications, Auto-reply, After submit, Spam, Integrations, Data capture, Branding, Payments, and Danger zone — so each option has one obvious home, and old deep links still land in the right place. Account-wide settings — your profile, dashboard logo, and the custom sending domain (SMTP) that applies to every form — moved to a new Account page.

Pricing: Free plan raised to 500 submissions

The Free plan now includes 500 submissions with no card and no time limit, up from 200. Existing free accounts got the higher allowance automatically. Forms stay unlimited and notification emails stay free on every plan.

Feature: Form drop-off analytics

Paid plans can now see how many visitors view a form, how many start it, how many finish, and the field where the rest give up. Tracking is anonymous: counts and field names only, with no cookies and no personal data unless you separately turn on partial-lead capture.

Feature: Stripe payments launched — charge through any form

Forms can now collect payments. Connect your own Stripe account in one click, set a fixed amount in Form settings → Payments, and submitters are sent to Stripe Checkout after they submit — for deposits, bookings, order forms, and paid contact. The money goes straight to your Stripe account (splitforms never holds your funds), every submission is marked paid or unpaid in your dashboard, and refunds, receipts, and payouts live in your own Stripe dashboard. Included on every paid plan; Square support is coming soon.

Feature: Webhook delivery log with one-click replay

Every webhook POST — live submission, test, or replay — is now logged with its status, error, and attempt count, kept for 30 days. The webhook page shows the recent deliveries and a Replay button re-sends the original submission to the same endpoint, so a missed delivery is a one-click fix instead of a support ticket. Network errors, timeouts, and 5xx responses on live submissions get one automatic retry, and the log shows how many attempts each delivery took.

Improvement: Trusted senders — Not spam now sticks

Marking a message Not spam now allowlists that sender's email address, so the spam filter never quarantines them again — and marking a message as spam withdraws the trust. Hostile payloads (SQL injection, script probes) are still always quarantined regardless. The spam queue page lists your trusted senders with one-click removal.

Pricing: Per-plan file storage allowances

File uploads now come with a clear storage allowance per plan: 500 MB on Pro, 5 GB on Business and the long-term plan (now Annual), and 25 MB on the legacy Starter plan. The per-file cap is now 5 MB on every plan (was 10 MB). When an account's storage is full, new uploads are skipped — text submissions always go through — and the dashboard's Storage page shows exactly how much space is in use. Accounts that lapse to the free plan keep their stored files for 30 days, after which they are deleted.

Feature: Public showcase, embed gallery, and form validator launched

Three new public surfaces went live in the same release. /showcase is a crawlable index of sites running on splitforms across eight categories. /embeds is a copy-paste gallery of ten production-grade HTML form snippets — contact, newsletter, lead, RSVP, support, feedback, beta, job, quote, demo. /tools/form-validator is a free public tool that audits any HTML form for accessibility, label coverage, and form-backend wiring.

Starter was closed to new buyers on September 29, 2026; existing Starter subscribers keep their plan.

Improvement: Per-page FAQs across glossary, pricing, docs, and reference

Every high-traffic page on splitforms.com now carries an inline FAQ block, exposed both visually and as FAQPage JSON-LD for AI engines and Google snippets. Expanded surfaces include /glossary, /pricing, /docs, /api-reference, /about, and most /forms/[platform] guides. The goal is to surface direct answers without forcing a click into the docs.

Pricing: Pricing simplified — Pro is now $5/mo

Pro dropped from $10/mo to $5/mo with the same 5,000-submission allowance. The previous long-term offer was replaced with a single $59 3-Year plan (15,000 submissions/month; $59 for the first three years, then $59/year) — retired on September 29, 2026 in favour of Annual. We don't sell a lifetime tier — we don't think it's honest to promise something we can't credibly support past a few years.

Each page covers pricing, free-tier limits, integrations, spam protection, and the one specific thing that competitor still does better than us.

Accounts now manage many named forms instead of a single submission firehose. Each form has its own access key, recipient list, redirect URL, allowed-domain list, and submission history. The dashboard groups submissions per form; the API surface is unchanged for backwards compatibility.

Feature: Outbound webhook delivery

Per-form webhook destinations with HMAC signing, an 8-second timeout, and last-delivery status per webhook. Useful for piping submissions into Zapier, Make, n8n, Slack, Discord, or your own backend. Failed deliveries surface in the dashboard with the status and error so you can debug and send a new test submission.

Feature: File uploads via Storage integration

Forms can now accept file uploads through the Storage integration. Files are stored on S3-compatible object storage with signed download URLs in the email notification. Launch limits were 5 files per submission at 10 MB each (the per-file cap is 5 MB since July 2026).

Feature: Auto-responder emails

Improvement: Honeypot spam protection (botcheck field)

Every form now silently drops submissions where the hidden `botcheck` field is filled in. The field is invisible to humans and to most assistive tech (CSS-hidden, autocomplete='off', tabindex='-1') but visible to dumb form-spammers, which catches a measurable chunk of background spam without any captcha.

Account signup and login now work via a magic-link email — no password to remember, no SSO setup, no third-party identity provider on the signup path. The same magic-link flow is used for re-auth when accessing the dashboard from a new device.

Feature: Per-form custom redirect URLs

Improvement: Domain whitelist (allowed_domains)
