CRAN has a long list of checks which must pass prior to a package being accepted -- this same rigor is not required of a package hosted in a Drat repo. If a user wants to download a package via CRAN they can just call install.packages and they can then choose their mirror and they're done. The RCOBOLDI package is, however, currently available via a Drat repo and I have instructions on the GitHub page which are based on a working example. I have released the package built for OSX, Linux, and source, and I have an example here. I am now working on a Docker release, which will be based on Rocker. I have tested this package using three examples (see here) so far and am looking for other files to include. This package...
