"Skype is okay but there are better alternatives"

    Posted 2020-05-23

Pros: It is good for video conferencing with one person. It was the industry standard at one point so you may have a large address book already compiled.

Cons: Skype is good for if you want to speak with one person, however if you want to have a group meeting there are much better alternatives.

Overall: Skype used to be the industry standard for video conferencing, however there are so many more technically better applications such as Zoom and more convenient options such as FaceTime if you are an Apple user.

    "Old way to video chat"

    Posted 2020-04-17

Pros: Skype is a bit outdated and I think they don't have much to offer then the others do that are how leading experts

Cons: Outdated interface that is confusing to use for users

Overall: I wouldn't use the other than in time video chat. But there's a lot more programs out there like Google Hangouts that works better.

"Becoming more important in a remote workforce"

    Posted 2020-04-14

Pros: Easy setup and free to use for personal use. Can send an invite to anyone with an email address and be up and running in a video call in minutes.

Cons: I have had compatibility issues in the past and had to try multiple email addresses when trying to do a phone interview.

Overall: Our company has shifted to Microsoft Teams which is basically the same but built for an enterprise environment. Is instrumental in the ever changing remote society we live in now.
