CRITICAL ISSUE: Payment system doesn't support 3D Secure (3DS) authentication - leading to immediate data deletion
I need to share this nightmare experience so others don't lose their work like I did.
What Happened
RentaMac deleted ALL my data because their payment system failed to process my 3DS-authenticated card. No warning. No grace period. Just gone.
The Problems
1. Outdated Payment Infrastructure
Their system doesn't handle modern 3D Secure card authentication. When my legitimate payment failed due to their technical limitation - not my card, not insufficient funds - they immediately wiped my server.
2. Zero Customer Communication
No notification that payment failed
No warning before data deletion
No grace period to resolve the issue
I was literally asleep when they deleted everything
3. Cascading Consequences
Now I can't even reactivate my Apple account on a new server because of their abrupt termination. Their negligence created problems that extend beyond their own platform.
4. Support That Doesn't Support
When I reached out, I encountered complete indifference. No accountability. No empathy. No understanding of the gravity of deleting someone's work without warning.

There are other Mac rental services that understand basic customer service principles and use modern payment processing. Choose literally anyone else.
