"Had to use this all the way through college"

    Posted 2022-01-12

Pros: Interface was nice, things were laid out where they meant to be according to the professor. It was fairly easy to access as well.

Cons: Tended to break down randomly or not be available at the worst times.

Overall: Every issue that there was... came from a professor not knowing how to use the interface correctly. Maybe the backend needs some help with a user-friendly interface as most of the colleges near me are community colleges with profs as old as the hills. So they had no clue how to use the program correctly.

    "Good Software for College"

    Posted 2021-06-20

Pros: This software is very good for colleges, it allowed me to schedule classes, manage classes, and complete work remotely.

Cons: This software could have quicker load times and faster maintenance times sometimes I miss assignments because of server issues.

Overall: Blackboard is a great software with some small technical issues. The mobile app could be updated a little bit as well but great software!

    "Tried and True"

    Posted 2020-05-27

Pros: I have been using Blackboard on both the student and instructor side for over 6 years now. It is user-friendly enough for a retired professional to begin taking classes again, but robust enough to offer an instructor the opportunity to build discussion boards, submission portals, quizzes, or wikis. It helps student stay organized with their calendar feature, or reach out to instructors quickly by finding their contact information. Really a great product.

Cons: Do not use Blackboard on your phone. It is not the same and is not easy to use. Years ago, it was much easier to access on a mobile device, but now, it just doesn't work.

Overall: Overall, I really like Blackboard. It has the capabilities to do what I need it to do and to foster learning. Just don't try it on your phone. Your computer is best.
