About YUPS was designed for Admins but allows anyone with the need to keep records of machines to access the progress of all aspects of a printers life. Many programs are designed to see the printers ink, copies printed, etc but have almost NO functionality for the administrator of these projects. YUPS does, to make his/her life happier. The current stock of software for printer (maintenance etc) are being put in 'the Cloud' only, which is another marketing gimmick; Just like 'everything' is moving from the web where we 'used to' be able to access our work from any machine, is limited 'ONLY to fons/apps'. This is absurd as when one looses their fon or app, they will loose access to their work as well. YUPS addresses this by having itself on your desktop, OR the net, OR your local network , (or all three). We are now using SNMP with YUPS for printer direct access and controls!! YUPS will now simplify these features, compared to the 'popular' 'Print Management' programs.

Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Printix manages your organization's printers with ease. While there are a lot of competing products I have tried, none match the simplicity and functionality of Printix. Adding printers works well while eliminating print servers and the hassle associated with them. We use the Azure integration which makes deploying the Printix client a snap and I have used the Google integration which works equally as well. I love how Printix manages printer drivers for all platforms and it does a tremendous job of connecting users and groups to the printers they are supposed to have access to. Cons Printix can be a little tricky to configure as you need to create networks, printer devices, print queues, users and groups. It's worth spending some time prior to using the software to plan out your naming conventions, access permissions and drivers needed.
