About

PowerShare Image Sharing is a secure, cloud-based platform designed to accelerate the sharing of medical imaging across different healthcare organizations. Integrated with the Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare, it provides healthcare professionals with instant access to diagnostic images, reducing delays and improving patient care. The platform allows images to be shared easily across diverse health systems and devices, ensuring that clinicians can view, analyze, and collaborate on medical images without the constraints of traditional image-exchange methods. PowerShare Image Sharing also enhances mobile access, allowing patients and providers to exchange images seamlessly, increasing the speed of diagnosis and treatment.

About

ProtonPACS is a picture archiving and communication solution that manages image access, storage and distribution, optimizing workflow across the organization. It includes front & back end patient management solutions that minimize manual and/or duplicate entry of patient information. HL7 integration to information systems (EHR, RIS, etc.) is included in the platform. ProtonPACS features Intelerad's Inteleviewer, a diagnostic viewer that provides radiologists and other healthcare professionals tools to optimize images, change layouts, measure critical data points, perform image reconstructions and create key images. In radiology environments, its worklist and integrated speech recognition engine allow radiologists to generate reports for referring physicians, and both reports & images are available via any web-enabled device through the system’s referring physician portal. ProtonPACS utilizes a secure hybrid model that employs on-premise hardware with simultaneous cloud hosting.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Powershare is easy to use and understand. I work doing a bunch of imaging daily and Powershare is one of the two highest used ways to get our imaging in and out.

Cons

  • It is a little difficult to send imaging out if you do not have all the information needed, but this rarely happens.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • ProtonPACS makes our lives as technologists and clinicians easier, cutting our 'turn around time', (the time it takes to get a patient report back after a diagnostic, radiological study, example, MRI, X-Ray, CT Scan.) Our patients have an MRI Study in the morning, and often times stay in the building for their follow up with the Orthopedic Surgeon an hour later! I can remember when MRI reports would take several days to a week to get back to the patients. It's hard to think about going back to any other system other than ProtonPACS now that I've worked in a practice that has it.
  • ProtonPACS is a very dependable system. In the last 2 years of using ProtonPACS there have only been a few times the system was down. The customer service is spot on and prompt to fix or help with any issue with the system.
  • I love the fact that I have access to quality images and the report right in my back pocket. This solution works great with all of my devices.
  • It is easy to use. If Healthland goes down we can manually enter orders to show up on modularity.
  • For those with little experience it is easy to navigate and understand. Even when I'm trying a feature for the first time, it's not overwhelming or scary. Our staff have been able to familiarize themselves with features by their own simple investigation. Whenever I've needed support, the reps were knowledgeable and helpful.

Cons

  • There are so many tools within ProtonPACS, I still haven't learned it all. It's not really a CON I suppose, but, I want to know every tool there is and I am still finding ways to measure, link, display, sort, etc., There is certainly nothing lacking in ProtonPACS and the company even sent someone to train us on the software as well as provide us with help any time we need it. Everyone I have dealt with has been knowledgeable, polite, and quick to take care of any issues.
  • The only compliant I have with ProtonPACS is searching for a patient if the MRN is unknown and if name of patient is misspelled. I would like to see another option available to search like DOB or last 4 of SSN.
  • I haven't really found anything that I don't like.
  • You have 4 programs to do different things in.
  • None noted. I do not have much experience with other systems to compare fairly. But that in itself speaks to the user-friendliness and smart design of ProtonPACS.
