Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros As the Vice President of Operations in the Medical industry in Poland, I’ve been using AMFG for a year now. This platform has really streamlined our production workflows, ensuring everything is secure and organized. It offers full traceability and helps us manage complex parts and post-processing jobs effectively. Plus, it keeps track of reprints and integrates smoothly with our machines, which has boosted our efficiency and cut down on errors. AMFG also promotes transparency across departments, making sure everyone stays aligned and informed. I've been using AMFG for about a year and a half here in the USA, where I work as the Head of Supply Chain Operations in the Production industry. AMFG really shines with its real-time monitoring features, which allow us to make quick, data-driven decisions. It helps us maintain repeatable 3D printing processes, ensures that we have consistent quality across different batches, and provides solid analytics to enhance our workflow and printer usage. I've been using AMFG for about 10 months now in the automotive industry as a CNC Machinist here in the USA. This platform has really streamlined our production workflows and quality control processes. It’s super easy to keep track of post-processing jobs, manage reprints, and uphold our strict quality standards. Plus, the security features do a great job of protecting sensitive information. Overall, AMFG has helped us save time, cut down on errors, and boost efficiency in our daily operations. As the Head of Production in the Aerospace sector, I've been using AMFG for the past three months here in the USA, and I can honestly say it has made a remarkable difference in our production and inventory management. The platform makes it super easy to store and manage CAD files for parts that we frequently need, and it allows our customers to reorder critical fixtures and vices without any hassle. The inventory management system is a game-changer, ensuring that we always have essential components on hand, which is crucial for our contingency planning. Plus, the production tracking and automatic rescheduling features give us complete visibility and help keep our workflows running like a well-oiled machine. I've been using AMFG for about 11 months now in the medical sector here in Canada, and I can honestly say it has revolutionized how we handle production and orders. The platform’s real-time planning and automation features have really helped us simplify our complex workflows. Plus, the custom automation workflows have cut down on manual tasks and significantly reduced errors. The traceability feature is a game-changer, giving us complete visibility into order progress, which has really boosted our internal coordination and communication with clients. Thanks to AMFG, we've been able to shorten our quoting times, minimize production errors, and effectively support our growth strategy. Cons On the downside, the setup process can be a bit of a maze, with multiple steps and pages that might confuse new users and take up a lot of time. I think the operator interface could use some enhancements, like a “do today” view to help prioritize tasks better. One downside is that the platform's change management capabilities are somewhat limited. Making adjustments to ongoing print jobs in real time isn’t as flexible or user-friendly as it could be. The biggest downside I’ve encountered is the initial setup process, which can be a bit tricky. Configuring the machines requires multiple steps across different pages, and it’s easy to accidentally misconfigure some settings. A more straightforward, step-by-step setup guide would really help new users get onboarded more smoothly and lessen the learning curve. One area that could use some work is managing customer expectations. While AMFG does a fantastic job of optimizing our internal processes, there are times when customers have certain assumptions about what's feasible, which can lead to misunderstandings. Providing more guidance on the customer-facing order features would really help improve communication and transparency. That said, the system can be a bit finicky when it comes to misconfigurations, which makes long-term maintenance a bit tricky. Also, the documentation could use some improvement, especially for those advanced workflow setups; clearer instructions would definitely make onboarding and troubleshooting a lot smoother.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Easy to use. The workflow generation and application is intuitive and allows for a variety of process integrations. I like its ability to centralize and efficiently organize documents. It offers advanced encryption, access control and change tracking options, which ensures the confidentiality and integrity of information. In addition, its ability to automate workflows, perform advanced searches and generate detailed reports helps us optimize document management and improve operational efficiency in our company. For the most part, it is easy and intuitive to use. The online training is a huge bonus and has helped me figure out how to do many things. Square 9 offers powerful document capture and workflow automation tools. It's highly customizable and integrates well with other business systems. We are really enjoying using Global search to rid ourselves of paper files. We also use Global Search to automate the AR process for our online payments system. The document capture workflows are very easy to set up with no programming at all in a drag and drop web browser interface. The software is constantly being updated to add new features, including AI for smart document capture Cons Hosted environment is too pricey, but the on prem is perfect for us. One of the limitations I find is the lack of advanced customization options in the user interface. I would like more flexibility to tailor the look and feel and functionality of the platform to specific needs. Some of the nodes are a little complicated and the online training is not available. The user interface could be more modern and intuitive. Initial setup can be a bit complex for smaller teams. Although I do believe we get special pricing based on our organization which is non-profit, we can only afford a single CPU license for our on-prem setup for document processing which makes things a little slow. So depending on what volumes you need to process, you can get a backlog of documents in the capture cue waiting to be processed. In an ideal situation where funds are unlimited, we would likely utilize their cloud solution with additional CPU cores and also the AI add-on for more efficient document capture.
