Free GNU/Linux distributions (gnu . org/distros/free-distros.html: Sourceforge URL problem); it would be a good idea to register your distro; more interested people would be informed. My personal preferences: Should be a non-systemd version (Devuan based) with a light "DE" (Xfce, MATE are not light): TDE or Openbox. I would prefer a Japanese name for a Japanese OS, like S h i z e n (remove spaces; Sourceforge problem) OS (自然 nature), Fuji OS (不羇 fujī freedom liberty independence), Gunu OS (グヌー gunū gnu)... It is very important to ensure that all storage devices are mounted (if/when they are mounted) only with noatime option (at boot time and later). Unfortunately, Debian uses relatime, so maybe you, too... No noatime: a lot of unnecessary writes, more energy usage, shorter lifespan for hardware; more nature destruction. All the best

This is a really fast and really clean looking Distro. It is simple and nothing flashy or fancy. Good apps installed. An impressive small distro. NOTE: It is very easy to install this on your drive. In a terminal type this ---> sudo calamares-install-debian
