I want to run sqlgrey as the user "sqlgrey". I want to
run sqlgrey as a daemon. The user sqlgrey cannot (and
should not be able to) write to PID files in /var/run.

Conclusion: I lose.

If sqlgrey could, around the time it daemonizes, change
UID to a specified user, all would be fine. It doesn't
need to do clever drop/gain privilege stuff, because
once the PID file is written, it's done.

I do consider all of the ideas you have presented to your post. They are really convincing and will definitely work. Nonetheless, the posts are very short for starters. May just you please prolong them a bit from next time? Thanks for the post. Mulberry Outlet http://mulberryoutlet.v5s7.com
