Designed to transfer large amounts of hi-speed data in industrial facilities, it scales easily, down to small Linux Arm boards such as Raspberry PI.
Hi level object oriented wrappers are provided, currently C/C++, .NET/Mono, Pascal, LabVIEW, Python with many source code examples.
Very easy to use, a full working server example is not bigger than the “Hello world”.
Many projects/makefiles are ready to run to easily rebuild Snap7 in any platform without the need of be a C++ guru.

MI piace molto questo sistema che permette di comunicare facilmente con i PLC Siemens della serie 300 / 400 e 1200 / 1500. Per rendere le cose più semplici ho creato un componete per Delphi che fa da interfaccia con SNAP7.pas e il FORM di sviluppo. Tra pochi giorni sarà disponibile sul mio sito: delphiruby.net Per ora ho solo aggiunto delle routine testate per l'utilizzo di SNAP7.pas con tutto il sorgente e un programma pronto per testarne le funzionalità. I really appreciate this ecosystem, which enables seamless, low-overhead communication with Siemens S7-300/400 and S7-1200/1500 PLCs. To abstract away the complexity, I developed a custom Delphi component that acts as a wrapper between the SNAP7.pas unit and the development form. It will be deployed on my website, delphiruby.net, within a few days. In the meantime, I have provided pre-tested routines for interacting with SNAP7.pas complete with source code along with a production-ready binary to test its functionality. Mauro (Delphiruby)
