I downloaded the latest version (8.0.2) and it still does not work with pop servers on port 995. This was reported in ID: 1313618 on 2005-10-05 02:46:16 MDT. Will it ever be fixed?

Delete mail doesn't work

I use to simplecheck to tell me when new email is in. To see who it is from and delete obvious spam. But delete seems very unreliable, in fact I'm not sure it ever works. At least 9/10 it never works.

I mark the mail as delete and click update and the mail disappears, but on the next regular check is it back again. And if I delete then fire up the mail client this deleted mail is downloaded. It seems like all delete does is to hide the mail, delete it from the list, not delete it on the server.

Is this related to the quit bug? Does my server need to quit to action the commands I wonder.

Checking e-mails from pop3.t-email.cz (port 995) don't
work. SimpleChech can't connect this server.

Abort from Invalid Page Fault Caused By Long Signature

Version 7.6.1 (and 7.0-beta-06) has a bug that is caused
by an account signature becoming too long. After a
signature is edited and it becomes "too long", it creates
a condition whereby subsequent selection of any
account in the Settings/Accounts page for editing will
generate an Illegal Operation abort of SimpleCheck.
Once this happens it is impossible to edit any account
without getting an abort. The long signature will
continue to append to messages, but no account editing
can be done, even to unrelated accounts.

The only workaround seems to be to edit the .scpf
profile file and delete the long "Signature" entry.
Apparently this bug is the result of a buffer overflow for
the Signature.

Detailed information (including an .scpf profile file
extract) have been sent to the author privately.

Cancel checking a mailbox doesn't work

Whenever you start actively checking a mailbox (i.e., not in
the background), and if there is a problem with a
connection, or the server is not responding, you click on
the Cancel button to stop checking, and nothing happens.
The program still tries to access the server. There is no way
to check another mailbox during this time. The program
does stop checking after some time, a minute or so. It
would be nice to be able to immediately stop the checking
process.

Problem

I can't filter on the term [Bulk]. Also it doesn't show the
word [Bulk] in the Subject line of the show result window
too.

I've set the filter to Header and Subject to contain any of
the words 'bulk' and to delete the message but it doesn't
do anything.

Bizarrely enough it saves the txt of the message with
the [bulk] as the start of the filename by default.

Any help would be great.

Cant Check POP on Win 98SE

My husband has been using Simple Check for a while this
new Beta installed over his origional install does not
check mail it doesnt respond to the check mail command
at all however it does SMTP.

Does anyone have a copy of the last full release , so
that my husband can continue using the program?
