#553 Problem with document output / print /preview
Hi,
I've problems with the outputs (hardcopy) with librecad.
I've done the following:
- create a rectagle of A4 size (210x297mm), portrait
- in the document properties, the document is also A4, portrait (see librecad-paperA4-drawingA4.png)
- when I do a print preview, the document is not at 1:1 scale but there are margins added (see librecad-A4-on-A4-print-preview.png)
- if I export the docupent in PDF, I get what I see (see print.pdf)
- I change the document format to A3 and save the drawing and close librecad
- When I open it again, the drawing is bigger than the document (see librecad-A4drawing-in-A3document.png)
The same occurs when printing on a "pdf" printer, on an rel printer and while exporting via the export function of librecad.
The same occurs if I don't print or I remove the dimensions informations.
I would like to have a mean to print wiht a 1:1 scale
attached a zip file with:
- the drawing: a4.dxf
- the exported PDF prinf.pdf
- the captures librecad-paperA4-drawingA4.png, librecad-A4-on-A4-print-preview.png, librecad-A4drawing-in-A3document.png

Everything looks fine for me.
Look at position 1 on print-preview-tools.png. There you find the current factor for the print preview. Because of the dimension lines the factor is 1:1.26014 for A4.
When you open the print preview, LC fits the drawing into the paper. Change the factor to 1:1 and use the tool buttons (2) to center the drawing for example. Or you can drag the paper to select what will be printed.
For the A3 paper size the factor is 1.16676:1 to fit the drawing. But your librecad-A4drawing-in-A3document.png shows the print preview with A4 paper, that's why the drawing is bigger than the paper.

I thought that once the 1:1 ratio has been fixed it was not moving everytime I change the orientation or the size of the paper.
Si I didnt checked each time.
[ I suggest some kind of 1:1 / other printing option ]

This is frequently discussed and there are several tickets here and on github issues about this.
Iirc there was a fix on master branch last year, but I don't know if it works.
Latest open ticket here is [#533], so I close this.
