&lt;p&gt;When loading the project, the associated textures should also be loaded.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This problem doesn't occur when the relevant textures have been loaded already, but that shouldn't be required IMO.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Solutions: &lt;br /&gt;
- preload the textures when the application is started: not good for scalability&lt;br /&gt;
- detect which textures are used and check if they are already loaded; if not, see which file contains the relevant textures: could take a long time&lt;br /&gt;
- embed the textures that are used into the file format: do we control the file format?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</summary></entry></feed>
