This is the version I am using. Attached. What I meant is also attached. When I enabled "word warp" in the result window, I clicked the "Find", it cannot focus on the correct line. But if I disabled it, it can.

When word wrap is enabled + lines are actually wrapped + the result window is scrolled below the number of lines originally in real text + the scroll is done with the mouse scroll or the scroll bar but not with double click + and the scroll happens from that position further down or back to top In this condition the positioning of the main window does not follow the correct line definition as supposed. Find...in Analyse Result cannot work properly when Wordwarp enabled in Analyse Result as well. When I clicked the "Find" button in the popped "Rearch in Result" window, I cannot jump to the right place when Wordwarp enabled in Analyse Result as well. I think it should be "When Wordwarp enabled in Analyse Result as well as there are lines have been warped already, then issue happens".

Hello, thank you for your feature proposal. I have some difficulties to see the benefit of storing the log output into an sqlite3 format. May be you could elaborate a bit more on this? Even better would be to propose some implementation snippet as pull request in the SVN code or in Github regards, Mattes

Hi Matte Thanks for taking time for making the description. I can confirm, in my example, the output is what I was looking for. In the real log file, unfortunately, I can't use the method because I don't know what comes before or after, so it won't be as static as in the example. But thank you so much for the effort, and after all, it's nice to know that it's not just because I had overlooked a hidden feature. Br Lars

Hi Lars, the Bar as such is not possible, just coloring inside the lines. What you want is probably solved with this way: (attached) What is the solution? - It is a combination of the Selection On feature + regular expressions. To "highlight" the text test but not the following space and 1 or 3 I did choose a lookaround expression this adds the condition to only select those test words that match the lines you were interested in but not the others and still does not highlight the 1 or 3 as you indicated...

Hi Mattes, Thanks for your quick response. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I don't think that's what I'm looking for (though it's also a nice feature I wasn't aware of! 🙂). What I'm trying to accomplish is having the word "test" (marked with the red square in the attacment) highlighted with a color, and preferably multiple words—for example, the word "This" highlighted with another color, etc Does this make sense ? Hello Mattes, I'm a big fan and uses the Analyse Plugin since many years. I'm wondering if you are aware of the issue of correctly filtered logs shown without the selected color coding? In the attached example you see the text lines containing "IP Manager Daemon" without the configured color setting (green/red/orange letters with black backgroud). Furthermore the text is shown in a different font, which changes to the correct font by changing the position inside the filter with "up" or "down" buttons....

Hi Mattes, I use NP++ with the analysis plugin and I´m very happy with it. But now I have to analyze some logs where I´m not able to get an expected result. It belongs to searches with placeholders, I tried a lot but without success. Here a simple example of what I´d like to have I have different PCB which sending equal information, but I´m only interested at one specific PCB information. Your plugin is awesome - how have I been using Notepad++ for 15 years to look at log files and not known about this?!?! Another vote to hide the empty lines (sorry, you are probably getting tired of them). I admit that I struggle with regex. I understand you are using the editor below and just changing the attribute when hiding rows. Would it be possible to change the font size attribute on those lines to 1 or 0 pixels high?

Hi NSK, I understand your request. The result can be automatically stored in a result text file, which in step 2 could be used as input for further search. Unfortunately a configuration for step after step searching is not in the plugin. To be honest, I would like to encourage you to check regex combinations of your searches. It is a little hurdle to get this initially defined, but it is a really powerful tooling and FAST ;-) -> please don't forget that also search patterns can be edited in a pretty...

Dear User, thanks for asking this question. You want to colorize only the word that was searched for independent if it stands alone or if it is a part of a different word. This is a feature implemented in a special selection option. (see attached) If you choose the Text option exactly the "found" text gets colored. /BR Mattes

It's about 247 search terms, if to be precise. The search query on line 247 is successfully searched, but is not colored in the specified way. After moving the search query higher on line 246, the search query is correctly colored.

Great, thanks. Regarding the pattern list right side, in the version 1.13 allows you to maintain the column position and size via mouse drag. The once made this configuration it is persistent in your user config. I hope this helps to at least clean up a bit. Regards, Mattes

Hi, a proposal born out of discussion in Ticket 96 is to highlight more or less dynamically. Always that patterns which are "selected" in the pattern list or result window, and only as long as the focus is on the AP panels. May be this could be a quite interesting compromise regarding the conflict with the lexer assigned via the document type... let me think on this further.

Hi Mattes, I am using npp 8.4.9 now and Analyze plugin version is 1.13. I loaded 292 MB log file in my 512 GB SSD thinkpad and it was slow. The best reference regarding simple UI would be TextAnalysisTool.Net. Please visit below link and you would get what I am trying to say. The crash is caused by the binary incompatible change in the plugin API SCI_GETSTYLEDTEXT of NPP. NPP diff 8.2.1 vs 8.3 If new versions of plugins using this API call are getting used with older 64-bit versions of NPP than 8.3 than this call can only end in a segfault ScintillaSearchView.cpp#l270 I'll check if I can add a detection of the version and use correct bit size based on it. The actual search function is the one in Notepad++. The plugin collects and merges the multiple search results to the result window. Except of the machine performance, there should be no restriction. If there is something not working, please let me know. Your point 2.) sound like you would have an idea how it could be less cluttered? I'm always interested...

Hi Yang Fan, actually 247 because 1 is used for default color. I plan to provide a pre-release in some few days. I use this pattern list as test scenario, where 247 color is still shown but 248 falls back to default. Interesting question would be, what's the best way to inform user that max colors is reached? Popup seemed me to be too annoying. Any suggestions?
