    Hacker Scripts

    Hacker Scripts

    Based on a true story

Hacker Scripts is a cheeky collection of small automation scripts and language ports collected under the tagline “Based on a true story.” The repository gathers playful utilities (originally shell and Ruby scripts) that automate short, real-world tasks — for example, sending a quick “late at work” text when SSH sessions are active, firing off an automated “I’m sick / working from home” email on certain mornings, or even talking to a networked coffee machine to start brewing at precisely the right moment. The README explains the origin story and highlights several canonical scripts and provides usage notes such as required environment variables and cron examples for scheduling. Contributors have provided implementations and ports in many languages and folders (shell, Ruby, Python, Node, Perl, PowerShell, Go, Java, etc.), and the project explicitly welcomes pull requests that add additional language implementations.

wxWidgets is a C++ library that lets developers create applications for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and other platforms with a single code base. It has popular language bindings for Python, Perl, Ruby and many other languages, and unlike other cross-platform toolkits, wxWidgets gives applications a truly native look and feel because it uses the platform's native API rather than emulating the GUI. Sherloq

    Sherloq

An open source digital image forensic toolset

Sherloq is a research-oriented toolkit designed for digital image forensics, providing an integrated environment to experiment with algorithms for image analysis and tampering detection. Rather than functioning as an automated decision-making system, it serves as a companion tool for researchers, enthusiasts, and students who want to explore forensic techniques from scientific literature and workshops. The project emphasizes transparency and community collaboration, contrasting with proprietary forensic tools that often rely on secrecy. Initially developed in C++ in 2015 and later transitioned to a Qt-based GUI in 2017, Sherloq has since been ported to Python with PySide2, Matplotlib, and OpenCV to improve accessibility and ease of development. Its interface allows users to inspect images with real-time zoom, metadata exploration, noise analysis, and specialized algorithms for detecting forgeries and manipulations.

    owfs and owhttpd

    owfs and owhttpd

    Project moved to https://github.com/owfs/owfs/

Please note that OWFS source code, and all Issue/Tickets/merge requests have now been moved to https://github.com/owfs/owfs/. Developer mailing lists will still be kept at Sourceforge. ---- OWFS -- 1-Wire file system. Use the Dallas 1-Wire and iButton chips with standard filesystem commands. Create temperature loggers. Monitor everything. OWHTTPD -- same system, only used as a light weight web server. OWFS is also ported to embedded routers, Mac OSX and Windows. Basically you can use these inexpensive little sensors and other chips with very simple wiring to sense and control the physical environment. The interface is very flexible -- everything from a web browser, to read and writing directly to the chip's "file" to integrating with your programs -- even over the internet. There is a growing number of 1-wire sensors: temperature, voltage, humidity, light, ultraviolet, pressure, thermisters, thermocouples, programmable microcontrollers, relays, lights, LCD panels, etc
