    RoundedTB

    RoundedTB

Windows taskbar customizer with rounded corners and margin controls

RoundedTB is a lightweight Windows utility focused on visually enhancing the default taskbar by applying smoother shapes and layout customizations that the native system doesn’t offer. At its core, the tool enables users to round the normally sharp corners of the taskbar, giving desktops a softer, more modern aesthetic that aligns with contemporary design trends. Beyond corner shaping, RoundedTB allows adjustment of margins and spacing, creating a floating effect or room between the taskbar and screen edges for users who want a cleaner and less cluttered workspace. This flexibility extends to segmenting the taskbar into distinct areas or profiles, which can help with organization and visual hierarchy across different workflows. The application integrates with Windows 10 and Windows 11’s taskbar behaviors without modifying core system files, ensuring stability and preserving native functionality while still offering powerful personalization.

    Windhawk

    Windhawk

The customization marketplace for Windows programs

Windhawk is a powerful and versatile open-source framework for customizing and enhancing Windows applications without modifying their original binaries. Instead of patching executables directly, Windhawk uses a plugin architecture that lets users write and load custom modules to inject new behaviors, automate workflows, and fix UI or functional issues in existing apps. This makes it ideal for end users, power users, and developers who want to adapt apps to their needs — such as adding missing features, improving usability, or automating repetitive tasks — without waiting for the original developers to update the software. The framework provides a clear API for plugins, a friendly editor experience, configuration management, and controls for plugin loading order and dependencies. It also includes a curated repository of community-submitted plugins that add dozens of enhancements for popular applications, which fosters sharing and discovery of useful mods.

    DSE-Patcher

Disable Driver Signature Enforcement with DSE-Patcher

Driver Signature Enforcement (DSE) was introduced by Microsoft starting with Windows Vista x64. DSE is a security feature of the operating system, which ensures that only valid signed drivers are loaded. To install unsigned drivers the DSE security feature has to be disabled. DSE-Patcher can be used to disable DSE on all 64-bit operating systems starting with Windows Vista and later. We developed DSE-Patcher to show the interested coder how easy it is to use known vulnerabilities and change memory in kernel address space.

    Window Maker Live

    Window Maker Live

    Window Maker Live Linux Distribution

Window Maker Live is an installable Linux Live ISO based on the current Trixie branch of Debian. The system uses the Window Maker window manager as the default graphical user interface. Window Maker Live's components have been carefully preconfigured and the desktop environment has a consistent visual appearance. Window Maker Live integrates selected components from other desktop environments such as XFCE4, MATE, LXQT, with a particular focus on GNUstep. The main idea behind this project is to integrate the Window Maker window manager as default user interface on top of a standard Debian/Trixie base system. It also serves as an alternate installation medium for Debian/Trixie. The second main idea not directly visible on the surface level is the inclusion of many useful command line utilities and tools for system administration. This effectively turns wmlive into a UNIX administrator's workbench for rescue and repair operations.

    Remix OS

    Remix OS

Remix OS for PC is a productivity focused, desktop version of Android.

Given its lightweight size and system requirements, Remix OS for PC is well suited to be installed on a USB drive (8GB+) and used as a portable workspace securely containing the user’s documents and apps. This particular use case has significant advantages for users within emerging markets where shared PCs are more common. A key feature of Remix OS for PC is multiple window support, and this has been vastly improved in the migration to Marshmallow. Significant examples include: ● New button has been implemented that resizes a window to fit specifically to the app’s content - ensuring optimal layout is maintained ● Video-based apps now open up in full-screen when you maximize the video rather than staying in a small framed window ● Resizing windows manually can now be initiated anywhere along the edge of the window (other than the top edge), rather than just on the bottom right corner

    LightBulb

    LightBulb

Adaptive screen gamma tool to reduce eye strain for night use

LightBulb is a desktop application designed to reduce eye strain by adjusting your monitor’s gamma and color temperature based on the time of day. As daylight fades into evening, LightBulb gradually transitions the display from cooler (blueish) tones to warmer (yellowish) tones, aiming to align your screen’s light with ambient lighting conditions and help lessen visual discomfort during late-night use. The tool is highly customizable, allowing users to define sunrise and sunset times manually or automatically via location, and tweak how the transition behaves. It runs with minimal performance overhead and does not require an internet connection to function. LightBulb also includes features such as a whitelist for applications sensitive to color changes and global hotkeys to adjust settings on the fly. Overall, LightBulb provides a flexible way to create a more eye-friendly computing experience, particularly for people who work long hours at their screens.
