Psychologist, Hypnotherapist & Somatic Coach

For women who understand their patterns — and still find themselves in them.

Many of the women I work with already know a lot about themselves.

They’ve done therapy, reflected deeply,
and still, the same patterns keep repeating.

Because the deeper patterns in the nervous system and subconscious mind were never truly addressed.

We often know exactly what change we desire,
but often our system doesn’t feel safe moving towards it.

That’s the level I work on.

When inner work becomes another strategy

If you care about growth, it’s easy to get stuck trying endless tools in an attempt to fix something.

But often, the way we approach healing is shaped by the same patterns we’re trying to change.

A sense that something isn’t quite right.
That something (about us) needs to be improved or controlled.

So the pattern continues, just in a more self-aware way.

Real change usually begins when we move beyond that.

Understanding a pattern is not the same as the system no longer running it.

The responses that feel most automatic weren't formed through thinking — and they don't update through thinking either. They live in the nervous system and the subconscious, in patterns that were shaped long before understanding was possible.

This is why insight reaches a ceiling. Not because something is wrong with the person — but because the work hasn't yet reached the level where the pattern actually lives.

Who I Am

I'm Sonja. I'm a Psychologist, Hypnotherapist, and Somatic Coach — and I spent years searching for answers to my own mental health struggles before I found work that actually moved the needle.

I became critical of a lot of what I encountered along the way — in the mental health system, in therapy, in the wellness world. Not because none of it helped, but because most of it stopped at insight. I wanted to feel different, not just understand myself better.

That search is what shaped everything I now offer.

"No talk therapy had ever come close to reaching that depth.“

FAQ

  • Somatic work is a body-centered approach to healing that helps you reconnect with your physical self, calm the nervous system, and release emotions stored in the body. Many of us live in a constant state of stress or disconnection — especially after burnout, trauma, or chronic illness.

In our sessions, I use gentle, accessible practices I’ve found deeply supportive in my own recovery from chronic fatigue. These include guided awareness and nervous system regulation techniques — all designed to help you feel safer, more grounded, and fully present in your body again.

  • Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process that guides you into a calm, focused state — similar to a daydream or deep relaxation. You’re fully aware and in control the entire time. From this state, we can gently access the subconscious mind — the part of you that holds deep-rooted beliefs, habits, and emotional patterns.

This isn’t about being “hypnotized” or losing control. It’s about creating the right conditions for insight, healing, and transformation. Through imagery, gentle suggestion, and inner exploration, we begin to shift what’s been keeping you stuck — so new perspectives and possibilities can emerge.

  • No — while I’m trained in psychology and bring a deep understanding of the mind to my work, what I offer is not traditional talk therapy. I work as a psychological coach, combining intuitive pattern recognition with somatic practices, hypnotherapy-inspired techniques, and energy work to support emotional healing and self-awareness.

This approach is more integrative and experiential than conventional therapy — it’s about tuning into both mind and body to create lasting shifts, rather than only talking things through.

Please note: This work is not a substitute for psychotherapy, psychiatric care, or medical treatment. If you’re in crisis or need clinical mental health support, I encourage you to seek help from a licensed mental health professional.
