SNDH Archive 2026 released!

• We introduce the SNDH specification v2.2 with the new archive. Almost all files are updated to v2.2 standards.
• In v2.2 the TIME tag is replaced with FRMS. The TIME tag was limited to seconds, while FRMS will tell exactly how many calls to make before the track end or loops. Players with playlist feature will have to be updated. The old 2024/2025 archives are still available if you need the old TIME-tag files (but TIME was only a small subset of the whole archive, while FRMS is almost complete).
• In v2.2 the FLAG tag is finally official, it's implemented on almost all files. It will detail what hardware is used in the file. Such as STe audio, Blitter, MFP timers and so forth.
• The archive song headers have also had an overhaul, composer, ripper, conversion names are now more uniform.
• The individual SNDH-files are now unpacked. That means slightly smaller file to download, but quite a bit larger archive on your disk. Reason behind it is that the players and even filesystems can use the header meta data much easier for sorting, search and so forth.

PSG Play update
September 23, 2025
A new PSG Play has been installed (commit a27b80e1). There has been a lot of improvements over the last months. Notable improvements are better support for 200 Hz maxYMiser tracks and maxYMiser PWM effect (for example, "Blink" by !Cube does not crash and "MYM PWM and cust wave jam" by Dma-Sc sounds much better ). Thanks Fredrik for upgrading PSG Play and Mark for fixing Emscripten builds.

Updated PSG Play

The latest PSG Play has been installed for the web player. Big improvents to STe sound (maxYMiser DMA-tracks works!) and Tao syncbuzzer sounds. Thanks Fredrik for the improvements and Mark for helping out.

New SNDH players from Oxygene

Oxygene have released two new SNDH Players; one for Windows (by Leonard) and a version for web browsers (by Oxbab). Both are very impressive.

PSG Play updated
