Welcome to the round up of posts you might have missed this week on Smorgasbord.

It has been a busy week with getting ready for my trip next week. I am leaving on Tuesday and will be online briefly until Friday when we are heading off on a mini cruise to Guernsey until the Monday. I am not taking my laptop so will be totally offline except for my mobile for calls home, which won’t do me any harm at all. Then I will be travelling back over Tuesday/Wednesday. So if you don’t see me around or I don’t respond to emails or comments… don’t worry ‘I’ll be Back

I have left the blog locked and loaded with the regular posts and some others to keep you entertained and hope you enjoy.

This weekend I have been on a cooking spree leaving masses of vegetables prepared in the freezer for David while I am away plus some easy cook main courses such as steak and salmon for the air fryer…I know he will be getting on with house and garden jobs while I am away and it makes life easier for him… the cat is also covered and the birds so I can rest assured that everyone is getting what they need while I am away… and peace and quiet lol! I know which of our cats below costs a lot less… and doesn’t need to be let in and out as often!

It has been a lovely week also because of the kindness of others with regard to my new book.  Here is a post about some of my visits and reviews.

Smorgasbord Blog Magazine Weekly Round Up – 24th – 30th July 2023 – Garden flowers, Big Band Era, Authenticity, Podcast, IBS, Recipes, Reviews and Funnies

Welcome to the round up of posts you might have missed this week on Smorgasbord.

I hope that you have enjoyed your week. I know that some of you are experiencing unseasonally cold weather for your summers and a lot more rain than expected.. whilst some are suffering horrendous wildfires and extreme heat. There seems to be no happy medium at the moment and I only hope that next week will improve whatever your situation.

On the home front.

My late spring flowers were passed their best so I have saved the bulbs for next spring and made a visit to our local garden centre to buy some bird seed and take advantage of their sale. I spent this morning tidying pots and adding the new plants and here they are… the larger flowers are Dahila Maxi and the smaller ones are Dianthus Car Oscar…  I will need to change a few more out over the next few weeks and will get a few more of these in different colours. They should see me through the rest of the summer especially as the roses are budding up again.

As always my thanks to my friends who contribute to the blog…
