 My nameis Bingo and I love splashing in the pond even in the winter.  Well the sun is shining.

 I'm Josie and I think Bingo threw my ball in the water and I can't get it. 

I'm Buck and I just want someone to throw the ball for me----but not in the pond.

Snow Geese at Sunset

I caught these Snow Geese heading for theirs night's rest  on Fir Island in the Skagit Valley.  10's of thousands SnowGeese along with Trumpter Swan and Bald Eagles and other Raptors winter in the Skagit Valley.

My sweet Mother

My Mother left this earthly world Sunday Morning.  She was an intelligent, warm and sweet, do as I say Mother who loved everyone.  Funny and wise who, she said, had a wonderful long life.  She was 95 going on 16.  We decorated her house for Christmas on Thursday---she was happy. 
We love ya, Mother.  MB

 I am headed towards Whidbey Island and shot this passing ferry boat with the bacdrop of the Cascades Mts. and the Port of Everett.  Always stunning.  When I first started the clouds covered the mts but soon unveiled the beauties.  MB

Yes we  had a wonderful time at my daughter's in Ritzville.  But I had to come back so I could post a pic for Barn Charm---can't miss that.  This b arn is near Ellensburg, Wa. on old Hwy 10 heading west towards Cle Elum.

This is a male Northern Flicker (Colaptes auratus).  Flickers are in the Woodpecker family.  tThey do love the apples.

Three faces of Mt. Shuksan and Picture Lake

 Three pictures of Mount Shuksan and picture Lake taken from June to October.  The first picture was taken on June 6 with Picture Lake under 20 feet of snow.

 This second picture was taken on August 3rd and conditions were perfect

.  This picture was taken November 1st with a few inches of snow on the ground and a light crust of ice on the lake

Back to Baker and Mt. Shuksan

 So today was a beautiful sunny day so we decided to see what was happening up in the mountains.  We decided to head for Mt. Baker up near the ski area.  Remember the last time we were here in August the road to Heather Meadows and Artist Point was still closed by snow, well now there is more snow but what fun it was to take pictures. 
This first picture is Mt. Shuksan across Picture Lake which had a bit of ice on it.

 The road--what fun--don't slide off because the first step is a doozy.  Taken through the windshield.
