Alpha R=Roses

The Alpha Challenge this week at SCS is up to the letter R, easier then some....  

 I thought the Penny Black series of images would be fun for a Slimline card featuring Roses on Rose Red cardstock and adding ribbon to the card. The Retired DSP was made by SU.

 The images were colored using Copic markers. I used a couple of items to cut out the images and circles- SU circle punch, Spellbinders circle and a Memory Box stitched circle die. 

 The sentiment is SU.

 I so wish growing Roses was this easy : )

Out for a jog

House Mouse challenges are all AG, but they asked for Gingham this week.  I added that in the clouds, which are dies by Memory Box. 

 The cute mouse is House Mouse by Stampendous, and the sentiment is Verve.  I also used the 'cones' from a set by Firecrackers Designs by Pamela. The green grass stitched die (which is a snow bank die) by MFT. 

 I made this card for the Alpha J challenge at Splitcoaststampers. I used Gingham for the clouds for the current House Mouse challenge.

CYS Dec- New Years-no alcohol

For our December Challenge Your Stash (CYS), Maggie challenged us to make a New Year card using no alcohol, as not everyone partakes.

  I made a card and gift jar set for the ESSE adult day care my mom attends for their New Years party. The sweet Country Snowman is from Sweet n Sassy Stamps (digi), and the sentiment is from Verve. I used a TH embossing folder, some silver sparkly wrapping paper and Cherry Cobbler cardstock. The sentiment is from Verve.

 Here is the jar that holds the hot chocolate mixture:

 The project goals for the clients is to make assemble as easy as possible, so I made a kit and have everything ready to roll.  The jar will be filled with hot chocolate and little marshmallows. Mom helped me out by coloring this sweet Country snowman.  I used the Scan n Cut to quickly cut out 20 large and 20 small snowmen.

Creative Belli Challenge- Jewelry

Welcome to another Creative Belli Challenge!! The challenge this two weeks is a fun one....use jewelry on your project!! This can include images that have jewelry on them or use *jewels* such as rhinestones, pearls... some of you might have some old jewelry just waiting to be showcased on a card!!! Be sure to use something old and forgotten from your stash, too...the Belli Challenge is all about using your old stuff and forgotten treasures!!!

This adorable image is from Bonibleaux Designs. The sentiment is from Verve.  I colored him with Copics and added a highlight of Spica of glitz. The DSP is from a Secret Santa swap... I used some rhinestones in coal to surround my image and the double heart charms- I purchaced them AGES ago when my brother got married (their son is 4 now.....) and glad to use them again! The curled corner technique is a new one from the Technique Junkies latest newsletter.
