PaperArtsy Scrapcosy and Tracy Scott Mixed Media Cards

Hi friends!  I've got a few PaperArtsy projects to share with you today.  These were blogged for Topflight Stamps and I hope they will be an inspiration to you today.  First, I shared a few mushroom collage thank you cards HERE using gorgeous stamps by Raquel Burillo Perez, AKA Scrapcozy.  Raquel has a new mushroom stamp set out now and I will be sharing more with it soon...

This bird card features another of Raquel's beautiful stamp sets, with a gel printed background and quote by Alison Bomber.  Details HERE.

This year I've really enjoyed playing with the gel plate more than ever.  Here are some bookmarks and a card I made from a print turned into masterboard with Tracy Scott stamps & stencils.  Details HERE.

As I look back, I find I've used Tracy Scott stamps more than any other this year!  Here's a grungy tag made with another of her flower sets, inspired by Claire Snowdon.  Details HERE.

And some more tags with Tracy's flowers.  Now these were extra special to me with a fun new Infusions technique, so I shared a video tutorial on my IGTF @sewpaperpaint HERE.  They are blogged HERE.

I guess I've been on a tag making kick too!  Here's a layered tag book I made with Tracy's stamps on double-sided gel prints and posted HERE

And a batch of cards using all of the stamps above.  :)  All these made from one batch of Infusions and I didn't want to waste a bit.  Details HERE

And then some fun with Tracy's bug stamps.  I love these so much because the insect stamps are so big!  I really love PaperArtsy because the images are larger than most other companies and work great for mixed media and my often 5x7" cards.  Details on this post HERE.

One last trio of cards with the bugs for now.  This was a fun background technique that I hope you'll try.  Find the process HERE.  I hope you've enjoyed these projects!  Your visits to the Topflight Stamps blog help to keep me on the design team, and able to share new content.  I truly appreciate your support my friends!  Big hugs, Autumn

PaperArtsy Deap Sea Mixed Media Fish Tag

Hi friends!  It's me again trying to get back into the bloggy swing of things.  It seems that things will be harder than ever with the loss of Feedburner, challenges closing and the inevitable fast paced life we're growing accustomed to.  Let me just say how invaluable your interaction with us makers is!  Your follows, comments, shares and continued support mean everything to us and are what make the wheels keep on turning.  So thank you for being here!

Today I have a mixed media tag to share with you.  I just had to have a play with the new to me PaperArtsy Hot Pick stamp set 2001.  I have wanted this stamp set for over a year now.  My tag was inspired by THIS awesome post by our very own Leandra Franich, the PaperArtsy queen herself.

I used corrugated cardboard for my base and some of the layers.  I used a lot of Infusions powders to add my color.

I used crackle paste, Grunge paste and Art Stones with a little Fresco chalk acrylic paint.  I made a motorized "bait" to lure the fish to their proverbial catch using a newer Hot Pick stamp set (2101).

I haven't been able to swim this summer because of my recent surgery, and this tag literally represents my desire to be in water.  I added a bit of Lavinia's new Mica Minerals powder to create sheen on the fish scales.  Now can I paint myself with it and call me a mermaid?  Pretty please!  Happy summer friends, Autumn

Tim Holtz Starry Night Paper Dolls Tag

Hi friends!  I'm happy to be back with you to share my latest mixed media tag as inspiration for this week's "Not a Card" theme at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.  I have been hoarding my Etcetera thickboard tags for far too long, so I chose to use one as my substrate this week.  The funny thing is that I was going to make a steampunk tag, but it turned out terribly.  I loved the background so much, so I tore everything off of it and repainted areas where the adhesive had torn away the surface and then went in an entirely different direction, a middle school dance theme!  LOL!

I used PaperArtsy Midnight Frescos to paint my tag. Then I scraped on crackle paste and let it dry.  I went over the dried, cracked portions with PaperArtsy Infusions in In the Navy.  I added some light sponging of Space Cadet Frescos to blend the harsh lines where the crackle met the dark blue background.  I stamped the Fragments stamp by Tim Holtz in Brilliance gold ink over the painted background.  The background reminded me of a magical night, so I chose a group of young girls from Tim's Groups Paper Doll collection, who reminded me very much of girls all dressed up and waiting to be asked to dance.  Because of this, I colored tinted them with Distress Inks in fancy dress colors, AKA Worn Lipstick, Chipped Sapphire and Antique Linen.  :)

I added distressed wings from Tim's Botanical ephemera.  I embossed Tim's 3D Faceted star die in Tinsel Gold.

I cut down the ABCs from the Field Notes Ephemera to give the girls a perching place.  I painted a Vignette Frame to coordinate and added a bit of sisal for texture.  I added the flowers also from the Botanical ephemera, sanded and dipped in watery Frayed Burlap, like I did to the butterfly wings.  This was a lot of fun to make and I'm so glad I didn't chunk the tag after my first failed attempt.  I am filled with nostalgia when I look at it.  I hope it gives you inspiration today!

Make sure to join this week's Not a Card challenge for your chance to win a $25 voucher to Simon Says Stamp.

Mixed Media PaperArtsy Posts for Topflight Stamps

Hello dear friends!  I have neglected my blog of late because I find it quite difficult to create duplicate posts on a regular basis.  The remedy, I have decided, is to give you a few power packed posts with my latest creations from the companies and teams to which I contribute regularly.  First up, I've chosen to share all of the PaperArtsy projects I have made this year for the Topflight Stamps blog.  This first pair of cards was posted HERE.  I shared a neat tutorial for dying tissue paper in the post.  I used stamps by Lynne Perrella and Alison Bomber for PaperArtsy.

PaperArtsy ELB07 at Topflight Stamps

These may have been my favorite projects of the year.  I shared a mixed media journal and greeting card in THIS post.  I used the Eileen Hull Wrap Journal with one of my all time favorite stamp sets by Gwen LaFleur for PaperArtsy.  I share a really cool technique for Direct to Paper in this post, which correlates with THIS video tutorial.

The Eileen Hull Wrapped Journal Die is hard to find!  Grab yours while you can on Amazon.

I shared a fun technique for using PaperArtsy Infusions Powders in THIS post, featuring Sara Naumann stamps and stencils.  I made another video tutorial and shared that HERE.  I used Magenta and Terracotta Infusions and stamps by Sara Naumann.

Finally, my inaugural post on the Topflight Stamps Design Team shared HERE.  These cards feature Mini Stamps by PaperArtsy with a quirky flair.  Such fun!
