Blog Share #4

Hi guys!

Hope this week has treated you well? It was late summer when I last did a Blog share post! So here we are again with Blog Share #4! Those who have participated in the past ones know the deal, apologies if I’m repeating myself 🥴 while I re-explain, but just incase any new bloggers or visitors see this…

Use the comment section of this post to share a link to your blog, or a latest post, and explain a little information regarding what your blog is about and if you want to; a bit about you. This allows people to find blogs of interest and also might help you be seen. 🙏😁 WordPress networking if you will.

As I write this I’m in the last quarter of heading to 100,000 hits here on this blog (all time) – currently 85K – I think I’ll get there in the first few months of the new year – which blows my mind! 🤯 But I’d like to share some of that traction with the people who have helped me achieve it!

Thanks as always, and I’m wishing you all a great weekend ahead full of positivity. 😄

(Photos just to get some attention, fun shots I’ve done at work heading into Christmas, imagery for Website and product imagery for online selling)! 😁 🎅

I wasn’t going to post today, but….

Look!

It’s my 12 year anniversary on here! 😆 You all know the story by now, I started this blog, wide eyed, photography obsessed and in need of a creative outlet, and I got just that. This blog truly does document my journey from the beginning, although I’ve had quieter years here – I haven’t deleted any of my posts from when I started it You’ve got my whole journey, from pre- photography qualifications or real life photography world experience through to now. I love that, it’s authentic and real, it’s my creative world. I still have the rest of the journey ahead of me too. 😄 This has been a very active year for me on here, and I’m so grateful for all of you who cheer me on, those who relate to my posts, people who are kind to me (there’s so many!) …and the people who genuinely inspire me, every day. You’ve really helped me through some tough days. Thanks for tagging along with me! Here’s to many more years!

Product Photography – Autumn 🍂🍁

In my day job, now is the time of year where we start photographing decorations for Christmas (some of you might remember a previous post about that, from last year). 🎅 This year we are doing some of the autumn decs too because those sort of decorations seem to be growing in popularity. 🍁🍂🍁🍂 It’s a great way of learning how to photograph products for website sale. These images will end up on product pages along with descriptions of the product to help sell it to those who want to buy. The website these are intended for use a white layout so they like light and airy images, we decided to put a splash of autumnal colour in the background by using a leaf garland, to add a bit of personality to the imagery, so you get the balance of light and airy but not boring. 😄 Next week we move onto the Christmas stuff again with a few hundred products to shoot! It’s good fun but hard work! A great opportunity to learn! I was thinking earlier; I remember the days years back when I dreamt of having a job that I enjoyed, which included some sort of photography role in it, that was honestly a dream (that I never thought I’d achieve at the time) Looks like I somehow manifested it because here I am doing some photography in my day job! It’s not full time photography but even getting just to do a bit keeps me happy. I’m not an expert but I do have to say I’m pleased with the progression of my product stuff, it’s coming along well. I always try my best. 📸 Hope you’ve all been having a nice weekend!

Christmas In July? 🎅

Sorry for the lacking of posting guys, I’ve been up to my eyeballs in festive work in my job. It’s always busy from now until… Christmas and then it gets even busier 🥴 I do have a few upcoming shots to share with you as I have been out with the camera, I just need to create a bit of time, I feel like the recent heat made me slump when I got home, no energy after busy days. I hope you’re all well? I’ll be catching up on your lovely blog posts too when I can! For a bit of fun (forgive me, I know it’s too soon 🤣) here’s a few product shots I did for Christmas 🎄 last year (pretty apt as I’m working on this stuff now) – I usually end up photographing hundreds of pieces of stock for online sale and Christmas theme images for website use too, a bit later in the year, so we will see what I can produce this time. It’s all fun… 😄

A Bit of Colour For You

Hi everyone and the happiest of Fridays to you all. Recently, I’ve been working to improve my plant photography at work. I would never claim to be a “flower / plant photographer” of any kind but I can definitely appreciate there is an art to it, just through experience of trying. These images are to go on product pages so they will be to actually sell the plants to customers at (Webbs) Garden Centre. Pressure is on with this kind of photography because you have to make sure they are colour correct so the customer receives the product they see online , also you need to make sure that the of interesting parts if the plant are photographed well (are in focus and correctly exposed etc). I’ve done almost 100 plants now so thought I’d share a few of the more recent shots to bring a bit colour to your feeds 🙂 next to no post processing on them to keep them as accurate as possible, I let nature do the work! 😄 what do you think?

Product Photography

Happy Friday! I wanted to share something a bit different with you today. I’ve been working on my product photography here and there, when possible. 📸 I photographed these bottles of gin on a plain white background but wanted to give them something a bit more so added in the splashes for dramatic effect. I know they may not be as pretty as some of my nature photography, but I’m so grateful for all the support of my work on here, I’d like to share all aspects of what I love to do. I think these turned out nicely. 😄
