hello! here is the first single by sean start running. I wrote this in 2023 after a night out with one of my best friends. he saw a cute girl, and approached me asking, "she's cute. should I talk to her?"
"well, of course you should."
"no, I'm scared."
"what? why?"
"I'm being such a girl."
"that's the girl inside him," I joked to the air.
"that would be a good song," he said.

so here it is! "girl inside me" explores a masculine want for tenderness, and self-love. I wanted to subvert the ideas of 'what a girl wants' and 'how to get the girl'. it's very queer.
