energy. Wow. That's one song I would do a lot to see live. Wow.

is gorgeous.

No flashy effects. No stage. No super duper clothes. Not that anything is wrong with that. These videos are fun too. But this one? The choreography, the overcast sky, the look like it's shot in one go? Love it.

Oh my, I'm currently going down the rabbit hole that is K-Pop. /o\

I mean, I don't understand a word they are singing so I can't judge the "quality"/sense of the lyrics (except for those that have at least some English lines in them), but the music and especially the choreography? WOW. Seriously, WOW.

I mean, I already fell for Blackpink last year. These 4 own my heart and if they ever come in my country, I'm probably going to a concert of them. But there are so many others. Wow. And, I have to say, the choreographies of BTS? Holy, moley. I've watched my way through all dance practice videos that I could find since yesterday evening, and, WOW. The hours of work, blood, sweat and tears that had to go in some of these? WOW.

The songs itself - the slow ones are not quite my thing but the faster ones? Especially "ON" and "Mic Drop"? The beats, the music? Wow. I have to see if I find a vid with subs in English because for these two songs I want to know what they are singing about.

Also, the choreography for "ON" - holy shit! In general and then the one they did for the 2020 MAMA (dance practice, haven't looked for the performance yet)? HOLY HOLY HOLY HOLY! *__* So, yeah, instead of reading the books I want to read or watch my shows (Ahhh, last eppy of Lupin *wants*)/movies, I'm watching K-Pop videos and am in awe of the dancing/choreography skills... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And so that you know what I'm talking about:

ON - Dance practice for 2020 MAMA:

Mic Drop - Dance practice:

Mic Drop - Remix by Steve Aoki

This one is also awesome. The beginning is so beautiful:

And, last but not least one of my favourite dance practice videos of Blackpink:

Author: Emma Goldberg
Pages: 253
Summary: In March 2020, soon-to-graduate medical students in New York City were nervously awaiting “match day” when they would learn where they would begin their residencies. Only a week later, these young physicians learned that they would be sent to the front lines of the desperate battle to save lives as the coronavirus plunged the city into crisis.

Taking the Hippocratic Oath via Zoom, these new doctors were sent into iconic New York hospitals including Bellevue and Montefiore, the epicenters of the epicenter. In this powerful book, New York Times journalist Emma Goldberg offers an up-close portrait of six bright yet inexperienced health professionals, each of whom defies a stereotype about who gets to don a doctor’s white coat. Goldberg illuminates how the pandemic redefines what it means for them to undergo this trial by fire as caregivers, colleagues, classmates, friends, romantic partners and concerned family members.

Woven together from in-depth interviews with the doctors, their notes, and Goldberg’s own extensive reporting, this page-turning narrative is an unforgettable depiction of a crisis unfolding in real time and a timeless and unique chronicle of the rite of passage of young doctors.

Title: Musicophilia
Author: Oliver Sacks
Pages: 369
Summary: With the same trademark compassion and erudition he brought to The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat, Oliver Sacks explores the place music occupies in the brain and how it affects the human condition. In Musicophilia, he shows us a variety of what he calls “musical misalignments.” Among them: a man struck by lightning who suddenly desires to become a pianist at the age of forty-two; an entire group of children with Williams syndrome, who are hypermusical from birth; people with “amusia,” to whom a symphony sounds like the clattering of pots and pans; and a man whose memory spans only seven seconds-for everything but music. Illuminating, inspiring, and utterly unforgettable, Musicophilia is Oliver Sacks' latest masterpiece.

Title: Terminal Alliance
Author: Jim C. Hines
Pages: 305
Summary: When the Krakau came to Earth, they planned to invite humanity into a growing alliance of sentient species.

This would have worked out better for all involved if they hadn’t arrived after a mutated plague wiped out half the planet, turned the rest into shambling, near-unstoppable animals, and basically destroyed human civilization. You know—your standard apocalypse.

The Krakau’s first impulse was to turn their ships around and go home. After all, it’s hard to establish diplomatic relations with mindless savages who eat your diplomats.

Their second impulse was to try to fix us.

A century later, human beings might not be what they once were, but at least they’re no longer trying to eat everyone. Mostly.

Marion “Mops” Adamopoulos is surprisingly bright (for a human). As a Lieutenant on the Earth Mercenary Corps Ship Pufferfish, she’s in charge of the Shipboard Hygiene and Sanitation team. When a bioweapon attack by an alien race wipes out the Krakau command crew and reverts the rest of the humans to their feral state, only Mops and her team are left with their minds intact.

Escaping the attacking aliens—not to mention her shambling crewmates—is only the beginning. Sure, Mops and her assortment of space janitors and plumbers can clean the ship, but flying the damn thing is another matter. As they struggle to keep the Pufferfish functioning and find a cure for their crew, they stumble onto a conspiracy that could threaten the entire alliance.

A conspiracy born from the truth of what happened on Earth all those years ago…
