How to Measure Your SaaS Visibility in AI Search

Getting mentioned by AI search engines can be useful for a SaaS business, but how do you know if your brand is actually showing up?Traditional SEO gives us metrics like organic traffic, keyword rankings, impressions, and clicks. AI search introduces another challenge because people can discover products through AI-generated answers without visiting a search results page.The first step is to identify the questions your potential customers are asking. For example, someone looking for a project management tool might ask an AI assistant to recommend affordable alternatives to existing products. Check whether your SaaS appears in answers to these questions.Next, track how frequently your brand gets mentioned and which competitors appear alongside it. If competitors keep getting recommended while your product is missing, that could point to a visibility gap worth investigating.You should also pay attention to the sources AI systems use when generating answers. These may include product comparison articles, review websites, community discussions, and other relevant pages. Understanding these sources can help you identify where your product needs more useful content and a stronger online presence.However, one mention is not enough to conclude that your AI visibility is improving. Results can vary by question, platform, and search time. Track a consistent set of prompts over time and look for patterns instead of concluding a few observations.Most importantly, don't treat AI visibility as a replacement for traditional SEO. B2B buyers want proof instead of just claims

Building an AI Chief of Staff taught us something: not every important email is urgent

One of the biggest challenges we've encountered while building FounderFlow is teaching AI the difference between information that's important and information that actually requires an executive's attention.At first, it seems straightforward: analyze incoming emails, identify priorities, and help founders decide what to do next.But we discovered that prioritization is more complicated than it looks.An email from a VIP isn't necessarily urgent. And an unresolved thread shouldn't remain on someone's follow-up list after they've already responded.These are the kinds of problems we've been working to solve.What we've been improvingWe're refining FounderFlow's decision intelligence to distinguish between five levels of attention: Act now, Review today, Monitor, Routine, and No action required.We're also strengthening how the system handles completed conversations, outstanding commitments, and follow-ups so executives aren't repeatedly reminded about work they've already handled.Expanding beyond GmailAnother challenge has been making the experience work across the tools executives already use.We're developing Microsoft Outlook 365 support so FounderFlow can work with Gmail, Outlook, or both. That includes email intelligence, meeting information, drafts, and follow-up tracking.We're also testing a Slack integration that brings executive briefings into Slack, with the ability to mark items complete or dismiss them.Both integrations are progressing through testing ahead of production release.What we're learningThe hardest part of building an AI Chief of Staff isn't generating summaries.It's building enough context and reliability for someone to trust the system's recommendations.An AI assistant that constantly labels everything urgent doesn't reduce workload.
