Grrrrr, I was EVEN MORE CERTAIN we were going to win this year than I was last year. Frak it.
Must sadface again :-( Okay, so, it may not be an Academy Award winner, but it's still a Cannes Festival and Golden Globes winner and a really good and insanely original movie. Here's the trailer for Waltz With Bashir. An animated documentary and war film and study of memory and trauma -- it can be done.

I was really looking forward to the FIRST OSCAR UGH. There are, like, 20 movies a year made here, and last year was the first nomination after 20 YEARS, and what are the chances we'll get another nomination next year? SUCKS SO MUCH. Not to mention, this was actually a really good movie.
