Mar. 28th, 2004 03:32 am1) It's warm outside, caterpillars are climbing the walls, flowers are blooming and the air smells terrific. It's the fun part of summer - the first few days when you're glad it's here, before the first heat wave arrives.
2) For the first time in about four years, I went to my one of my cousin's many gymnastics performances. They're an amazing team of 45 kids, raging from ages 10-18, who do jumps and flips and acrobatic wonders in general. They make it seem like they're swimming in the air` at times, jumps that were so high and complicated that to an onlooker they looked like they were moving in slow motion. They have a few male gymnasts too, the best of which I remember I remember as a spry little 10 year old boy. He's almost 18 now, and performs like a flying Billy Elliot, and if the army somehow hurts him I swear I will defect.
3) To be an officer. Aye or nay? Damn it. ( As forewarned, a list of reasons. )
Well, okay. I think I've more or less laid it all out there. So far I've gone ahead with all the sorting process and interviews, so as not to rule out the option. By April 16th I have to make a final decision.
Next weekend I'll be at the base, but I'll be home Sunday afternoon for a vacation that'll last all throughout the holidays.
