Saw Death of a Salesman and, as expected, wanted to cry.

What a strange production it must have been, though. The actors who played Willy and Linda Loman were real-life husband and wife, and Biff and Happy were real life brothers. One of whom, incidentally, was the model/"actor" I mentioned seeing a few days ago, only turns out he's an Actor with no quotation marks. 'Cause really, he impressed me. And it turns out he performed in Edinburgh this summer! Hello? In English? How did I not know about this? And why didn't I go when I was there?

Comepletly forgot that today was costume day at school. Was woken up at 7:30AM by sister. Blindly stumbled downstairs and spray-painted her hair orange for her Wilma Flintstone's ensemble, although there were two perfectly competent parents at hand who had the whole actually-being-awake thing going for them. When the house finally quieted down at 8:30 I wanted to go back to sleep, but no matter how much you want to, you can't let yourself climb into bed with neon orange hands. By the time I scrubbed it off I was fully awake and ready for the friendless, empty morning it was going to be. Spent the morning singing karaoke at the top of my voice till sisters started coming home from school.

I never liked getting dressed up in Purim. When I was a kid, yeah, but then later there was always too much pressure to find a costume that's funny or original or at the very least not embarrassing, and... well, being a Geisha with peeling white make-up in 9th grade pretty much scarred me for good. Which is why I was always glad when my parents used our three days off from school to take for week-long skiing vacations in France (though, obviously, not the only reason.)

My (other) sister participated in the festival this afternoon ("the festival?" "the festival!")--there was this whole parade which I regrettably did not attend. The actual holiday's tomorrow. And I'm pretty sure there's a fast going on right now, for the more observant amongst us. Myself, I'm stuffed from an abnormally large dinner, so no fast today. Sorry, God.
