Hey everyone!

Today is the last day of 24 gnomes of Christmas and we get to know Ivar:

Ivar is a mysterious gnome. Nobody knows who he is exactly, they just know that every year, without fail, he dresses up as a reindeer and he delivers presents to all the gnomes in the village. Then he disappears for another year.

Nobody knows what his favourite food is, or even where he comes from or where he goes when Christmas is over. There are rumours that his antlers are magic, though, and that they make him fly.

Wherever you are in the world, keep an eye out tonight, and maybe you might get a glimpse of him coming down your chimney or around your Christmas tree. One thing’s for sure: he loves visiting the houses where other gnomes live.

Hey everyone!

Can you believe tomorrow is going to be the last day of Gnomemas? Today we get to meet Jorgen:

Jorgen loves to grow his own vegetables and fruit. He has a big farm-style mushroom house with a huge field and he grows all the food for the gnomes. You can find any kind of fruit and veggie there because Jorgen has a magic green thumb that lets him grow anything he wants even if it’s snowing.

When he’s not in his garden or his greenhouse, Jorgen loves to sit in an old, beaten armchair and look outside at the snow falling down while he’s reading about all the new techniques to grow stuff.

His favourite food is carrots. He loves to pick them from the ground, wash them and eat them while he’s still in the garden.

Hey everyone!

Only two days left before Christmas and today we get to meet Niels.

His name means “victory of the people”, so basically he is a champion. It is a fitting name, because Niels has won the title of “Softest beard of GnomeLand” many many years in a row. He is undefeated and he is very proud of this. He will never reveal his beard routine, so don’t even bother to ask.

Niels loves mushrooms: they are his favourite food and he also uses them for any kind of project. He can transform a mushroom into a stool, a hat, an umbrella or a toy for the baby gnomes.

Hey everyone!

Today we get to meet Jensen:

Jensen was amongst the first wave of gnomes to get established in the village. He comes from Finland and it is rumoured that he used to be one of the many helpers in Santa’s lab. He doesn’t speak much about his past.

Now that he lives in the village, Jensen spends his days walking in the woods and gathering wood for all the gnomes so they can be toasty in front of the fireplace during the winter. He loves birdwatching and he never leaves the house without binoculars.

His favourite food is smoked chestnuts and anything he can roast in his smoker.

Hey everyone!

Today we get to meet Lars:

When he was born, his parents named him Lars because it means ‘crowned with laurel’. They wished that he would become a great poet, but when he was growing up it was clear that he was destined for something else altogether.

Lars always had a fascination with the water, especially with the creatures that live in it. He’s obsessed with sharks and he wants to study them. Right now he’s in school being a teenager and his favourite past time is sticking his feet in all of my instagram photos with his best friend Egil. Lars’ parents always laugh at the irony of it: they wanted him to become a poet and instead he found a poet best friend.

Lars’ favourite food is croutons.
