Robbie’s Inspiration – W3 and CFFC

I am late with this weeks W3 challenge. You can read the instructions and other poet’s work here: https://skepticskaddish.com/2026/07/01/w3-prompt-218-weave-written-weekly/

I’ve written two poems for this challenge. I’m not sure either correctly met the criteria but these are what came for the prompt.

Searching for Happiness

Is happiness found

in making more time

by shifting away

from the constant drumming

of the corporate world?

Is it the constant expectations,

meetings and deadlines

that wear down the soul

inviting terminal fatigue

that gradually

turns to exhaustion

and translates into

burnout

Or will the extra time

merely fill up with runover

anxiety and emotion

relating to unresolved issues

that you carry with you

from the old life

to the new?

Does it really boil down

into a feeling of belonging

a sense of security

and comfort

of being part of a team

that’s building something better

something meaningful

that will have an

enduring impact on

the world

Is happiness found rather

in finding more meaning

in the space where

you are investing

your valuable resource

time?

Tea Time

sit down

take a load off

doesn’t need to be long

nice cup of tea and muesli rusk

revives

CFFC

Dan’s CFFC challenge this week is black. You can join in here: https://nofacilities.com/2026/07/06/the-crayola-box-of-8-black-cffc/

I don’t take many photographs at night and black is not a colour I favour so I have limited contributions today.

I’m sharing some of my earlier charcoal drawings and oil pastel artworks. These are my first attempts at art when I first started in 2022. The hoopoe is the first drawing I ever did.
