And ok, some more miscellaneous Yantai.
This is the dog that lived in my block of flats. Or, well, her owner lived there too, but her owner was an old lady who was always off about her own business, so the dog would just be hanging out at the top of the steps then, when she got bored, would ride the lift until it brought her back to her floor. This, as far as I can tell, is how she managed it. Because she'd just demand to be let in and she was an old dog so you couldn't really say 'no').
Anyway,

Nov. 2nd, 2011 11:26 pmI discovered after having gotten to Seoul that they use the same type of plugs as on the Continent. Joy. I wasn't able to charge my lap-top and therefore also not able to charge my phone while I was there.

These are from Taipei101. (My phone is running out of space. I realise this is what I get for never getting around to posting the photos so I can take them off there. So yes, very gradually clearing out my camera album).
Anyhow. I took a few pictures of the view. It was kind of a cloudy day, so I took a bunch of snaps of the photo exhibition that's on the observation floor too. I also took a bunch of the Taipei101 mascot. He's drawn to resemble their earthquake damper. That's the alien pod looking thing in the pictures). The first couple of pictures are from this nice allotment area I ended up wandering through while I was trying to make my way there.
Oh yes. And there's some shops at the top selling/exhibiting statues and jewellery made from Taiwanese precious ... materials, I guess - since one of the most popular was some type of coral. There's a few pictures of that as well.

Apr. 20th, 2011 02:06 pmThese are from the Sun Yat Sen memorial. The inside of the building was kind of confusing. There's this gallery and that library and the other gallery... Most of the pictures are from inside. There's some videos from outside... Tbh, I'm not sure what the best thing to do with them is since I can't just youtube them.
Well, anyway. My favourites in here are the angry chicken and the little boy meditating with the Falun Gong people. There's a couple of pictures of the statue outside where you can see me as a ghostly presence reflected in the stone xD;
