Was just sitting on it these last few weeks, not logging into my computer for personal reasons. Was gonna toss in a few extra tracks but lost interest in fixing things up, so the track listing was diminished to a meager 8. Pussy footing allowed more people to download free MP3s if they so wished. As usual I am disabling that free download on Newgrounds to push traffic towards Bandcamp. The albums are always name-your-price, which gives people the ability to offer $0.00. Individual tracks cost $6.66 but that's just to get people listening to the other tracks they may not otherwise listen to via the free album download. It's an arbitrary strategy I recycle for every album that probably has never done any good but I'm just keeping the tradition alive at this point. Gotta have some integrity.

The material on the album is hyperfocused on a free-to-use chat bot to comment on current issues that involve a growing dependence on AI tools for everything from coding, schooling, business, government, art, music, relationships, and even sexual needs. The dick parrot is an adorable distraction, the name of the album satire, and the overall vibe a pessimistic take-down of a very real dystopia that we currently exist within. The mood is dark, the sound is aggressive, and the chat-bot is a sexy narcissist. The titular song never made the front page here but that's just another reason I'm naming the album after it. I've been at this grind for over 20 years now and have learned to just amuse myself instead of twisting the sound to suit the desires of others. I'm fucking weird in case that wasn't obvious.

This album is as much about embracing my own goofy misanthropy as much as anything else. Kids Bop Vol. 666 is a vibe, a criticism, a manifesto, and some heavy beats that may or may not make you laugh. Maybe it worries you? Maybe it turns you on? Maybe you turn around and decide you'd rather listen to Dua Lipa on Spotify for the one millionth time. Whatever this album does or does not do is largely irrelevant because society will just keep pushing forwards until we destroy everything that's beautiful about our planet. Species will go extinct, conflicts will rage on, institutions will be plundered, and humanity will burry its head into religious mythos while opportunists grab up all the wealth the working class has created for them. Everything is on fire and human life is a stock that can be traded.

Download Kids Bop Vol. 666 on Bandcamp and give your soul to the machine. You weren't using it anyways.
